We have entered the big data period because of acceleration development of society.With the six core mathematical literacy proposed,the cultivation of data analysis ability has attracted much attention.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the current situation of high school students' data analysis ability,find out the weak factors of high school students' data analysis ability,and discuss the strategies to improve their ability.This thesis is based on the domestic and abroad existing research of high school students' data analysis ability,dopting the method of test paper survey and questionnaire survey,to study the current situation of high school students' data analysis ability,then finding out the reason of high school students' data analysis ability is weak.At the last,proposing teaching strategies accords to the research results.The main content including:(1)The definition and analysis of relevant concepts of data analysis ability.(2)Designing the test paper to investigate the senior three students' data analysis ability;then designing questionnaire to investigate their liking level,learning and application situation of data analysis,and analyzing of gender differences.(3)Proposing teaching strategies based on the survey results.Through the statistical analysis of the survey results,gaining the main conclusions including:(1)High school students' data analysis ability is generally weak.Data inference capability is the most weakest among five abilities tested.(2)Students' ability to collate data,describe data,interpret data and calculate data are varying degrees of deficiency,too.In view of the above conclusions,proposing teaching strategies:(1)Putting statistical software into the teaching process to let students feel the whole process of data statistics,afterwards cultivate students' interest in learning and improve learning efficiency.(2)Letting students participate in each link of data analysis to deepen their understanding of data analysis.(3)Attaching importance to cultivating students' computing ability and data inference ability.(4)Strengthening students' ability to draw statistical charts and read statistical chart information.(5)Paying attention to the reality of student life and enrich data analysis experience.(6)Attaching importance to students' summary and reflection.
