Data analysis ability is one of the six core qualities proposed in the General high school mathematics curriculum standard 2017 edition,which enables students to improve their awareness and ability to acquire valuable information and conduct quantitative analysis.It mainly manifested in the four aspects that are collecting and organizing data,understanding and processing data,obtaining and interpreting data,and summarizing and forming knowledge.According to the PISA and TIMMS test framework and ideas,many first-line teachers group and the educational research group discussed this research compiled in line with the new curriculum concept test.Under the guidance of new curriculum standard,four dimensions are established,which are a data collection and sorting,data understanding and processing,data acquisition and interpretation,formation of the knowledge.In the meantime,considering SOLO taxonomy and predecessors' experience,the author divided each dimension into four levels.According to the test questions and analysis framework,students will be studied in-depth.This study investigated a high school in Huludao city which is a city in Liaoning Province.This high school is a provincial key high school with complete hardware facilities and abundant teaching staff.The students have high scores in the high school entrance examination and outstanding scores in the past college entrance examination.Additionally,most students are from the countryside,who are diligent but lack creativity.The study has shown that the overall data analysis ability level of senior three students has reached the requirements of the new curriculum standards.The targeted training has a direct impact on data analysis literacy.The students' data understanding and processing level is at a higher level.Meanwhile,life experience directly affects students' data understanding and processing level.This study also found that senior three students' data analysis level has no significant gender difference in the overall level,and there is no significant difference in the data analysis of liberal arts and science.The reason is that senior high school students have relatively good learning and application of data analysis-related knowledge.But in the dimension of knowledge generalization and formation,the level of science students is significantly higher than that of liberal arts students.The author analyses the reasons and puts forward countermeasures.After analyzing the key classes and ordinary classes,it is found that the overall level of data analysis ability and the level of each dimension of key classes are significantly higher than that of ordinary classes.Based on the investigation and research on the present situation of the data analysis ability ofthe subjects,the author will put forward suggestions to improve the students' data analysis ability from two aspects which are improving teachers' professional level and creating problem situations in class.Having the concept of data analysis in teaching,teachers should infiltrate the concept of data analysis into students under the appropriate circumstances,and focus on letting students experience the whole process of data analysis.
