Scientific inquiry in biology curriculum is a kind of activity for students to actively acquire biological science knowledge and comprehend scientific research methods.Design experiment is one of the important links.Students' ability to design scientific inquiry experiments is scientific inquiry.The necessary ability in the activity.An in-depth understanding of the students' ability to explore scientific design can provide a basis for the development of this ability and help to improve students' scientific inquiry ability.At present,there is no perfect evaluation tool for scientific inquiry experimental design ability.Therefore,based on relevant theories,the author combines the current domestic and international research on the ability of scientific inquiry experiment design to try to construct a scientific inquiry experiment that can measure junior high school students.Evaluation tool for design capabilities.The paper mainly includes the preparation of measurement standards and the development of tools.The preparation of measurement standards refers to the relevant ability assessment data through the literature method,analyzes the requirements of the curriculum standards of science inquiry experimental design ability,and determines the measurement standards of scientific inquiry experimental design ability,including the theoretical model and index system of construction evaluation.The research and development of tools mainly develops corresponding evaluation tools according to the prepared measurement standards,including the preparation,testing and analysis of the project,and the reliability and validity evaluation of the tools.In this study,118 Nanchang No.13 middle school students were randomly selected for preliminary examination.The tools were modified by interview method.Then they were officially tested in the eighth grade students of Nanchang No.2 Middle School and Hongdu Middle School.The effective volume was 203,based on the test results.Analyze the reliability and validity of the test and the results are as follows:(1)The theoretical framework of scientific inquiry experimental design ability constructed in this study contains three dimensions: selection variables,design control experiments,and selection of required materials.(2)A total of 21 questions were developed based on the theoretical framework of the construction.The overall reliability of the test is 0.743,the overall difficulty coefficient is 0.56,and the difficulty coefficient of all questions is between 0.31 and0.70.The scores of the high and low groups are significantly different on each test,and the content validity is 0.81.The validity KMO value is 0.687.The exploratory factor analysis shows that the total variance of the evaluation tool reaches 56.741%,and the structure of the three dimensions is good.The tool has certain reference value for the evaluation of the experimental design ability of junior high school students.According to the above research results,the quality indicators of the measurement tool meet the requirements,and the ability to design scientific exploration experiments for junior high school students can be measured.
