The Ministry of Education promulgated the "General Senior High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017 edition)" which clearly put forward six core qualities of mathematics including mathematical modeling literacy.The core quality of mathematics is the inheritance and development of mathematical ability.The mathematical modeling and data analysis fully reflect "the language that can express the world in mathematics." It can be seen that mathematical modeling literacy,as one of the core literacy of six mathematics disciplines,is the essential basic literacy of citizens in the new era.Both the reform of senior high school curriculum and the reform of college entrance examination have put forward urgent requirements for measuring the level of senior three students' mathematical modeling literacy.Based on Professor Yu Ping's core literacy evaluation framework and a large number of related literatures,this study gives the criteria for dividing the mathematic modeling literacy level of senior three students,and after many discussions,modifications and tests,designs a reasonable and effective evaluation tool.Taking some senior three students of three key senior high schools in Hengshui City as the research object,this paper investigates the status quo of their mathematical modeling literacy,and then makes in-depth interviews with typical students,obtains a series of research results,and gives pertinent suggestions based on this.In this study,the data collected were analyzed by Excel and SPSS 20.0,and then the three diffeerent levels of students were interviewed in depth.The relevant conclusions were as follows:(1)the evaluation tools developed in this study are basically reasonable.(2)the overall level of mathematical modeling literacy of senior three students is low.(3)there are different factors influencing the improvement of students' mathematical modeling literacy under the level of knowledge understanding,knowledge transfer and knowledge innovation.(4)there is no significant gender difference in the mathematical modeling literacy level of senior three students.(5)there are significant differences in the level of mathematical modeling literacy of senior three students in the dimensions of arts,science and school.(6)there is a certain correlation between the mathematical modeling literacy level of senior threestudents and their ordinary grades and their love of mathematics.(7)students in the third year of senior high school have too little participation in mathematical modeling activities.Based on the above conclusions and the results of interviews,the following suggestions are given to improve students' mathematical modeling literacy:(1)different ways can be adopted in the teaching of mathematical modeling for boys and girls,focusing on balanced development;(2)strengthening the improvement of students' mathematical modeling literacy;(3)changing the traditional exam-oriented teaching and creating diversified problem situations;(4)improving learning.Students' interest in mathematics learning;(5)consolidating students' basic skills,adding courses on mathematical modeling;(6)strengthening students' understanding of mathematical reading materials,improving students' ability to extract mathematical information;...
