The Mathematical Curriculum Standards for Senior High School(2017)regards mathematical modeling literacy as one of mathematical key competency and adds mathematical modeling activities and inquiry activities to the curriculum,moreover arranges 6 lessons for students to study.In the past two years,the research of mathematical key competency has been very popular,but there have been few study devoted to mathematical modeling literacy.The teaching of mathematical modeling activities is not only inseparable from the theoretical guidance but also from students.Because the level of students’ mathematical literacy influences the implementation of teaching,the implementation of teaching will enhance the students’ mathematical literacy simultaneously.Therefore,it is necessary to study mathematical modeling literacy,evaluation indicators,and assessment level division.At the same time,it is also necessary to carry out current research on the mathematical modeling literacy of senior high school students and give advice on training.In this paper,through the analysis of relevant literatures on mathematics literacy,the author obtains the connotation of mathematical modeling literacy,evaluation indicators,and five levels of division.Based on the above theoretical system,the author designs a set of questionnaires and test questions,and conducts empirical investigations.Finally,through the analysis of the survey results,the teaching suggestions for high school students’ mathematical modeling literacy are put forward.Combined with the analysis of the results of Chapter 4 data,the current situation of high school students’ mathematical modeling literacy is obtained.Through interviews with the teachers of the three high school teachers,we learn that teachers’understanding of mathematical modeling literacy is rather ambiguous.Usually,the examination focuses on students’ knowledge and less on students’ literacy.They are all willing to participate in lectures or training in mathematical modeling literacy.From a statistical view point,using SPSS software to analyze the questionnaire,and test data is as follows:There is no gender difference in student mathematical modeling literacy.The mathematical modeling literacy of students in the second grade is higher than that of the students in the first grade.The differences between the two grades are obvious.Overall,the average score of students’ test is 46.3 points and about 70%of students are in mathematical modeling literacy Level 1 and Level 2.These indicate that the current students’ mathematical modeling literacy overall performance is low.
