Research On The Construction Of Economic Benefit Evaluation Index System Of Urban Marathon In China

Since the State Council issued the "Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Sports Industry to Promote Sports Consumption"(hereinafter referred to as "Opinions"),China's sports industry has developed rapidly and the market has further expanded.The "Opinions" put forward a series of reform tasks,such as innovative mechanisms,simple administration and decentralization,for the development of sports events,thus breaking the monopoly of sports event resources.In this context,the number of marathon events has increased steadily,and the evaluation of marathon events has received more and more attention,including the economic evaluation of the events.At present,most of the economic benefit evaluation index systems of urban marathon competitions in China use the economic benefit evaluation index,witch is the part of the evaluation index system of large-scale sports events,but ignored the characteristics of China's urban marathon events.Therefore,it is extremely urgent to construct an evaluation index system suitable for China's urban marathon events.This paper focuses on the construction of the economic benefit evaluation index system for urban marathon events in China.After reading a large number of relevant literatures,the characteristics of China's urban marathon events are summarized,and the economic benefits of China's urban marathon events are defined as: the economic promotion effect on the host sites during and after the city marathon.On this basis,the economic benefit evaluation index system of urban marathon in China is constructed.The index system is finally established by Delphi method,and the indicators are weighted by using the analytic hierarchy process.Finally,the economic benefit evaluation index system of urban marathon in China is obtained.The system ultimately includes two first-level indicators,namely,direct economic impact and indirect economic impact;five secondary indicators,which are the incremental consumption brought to the host,the direct pull effect on related industries,and the promotion of city visibility and image,the direct economic benefits of the organizer and the indirect pulling effect on related industries;and 20 third-level indicators.All of the third-level indicators are measurable,witch means are able to measure the economic impact of China's urban marathon events more accurately,and further quantify the economic impact assessment of marathon events.According to the weight of each layer index of the system,the main sources of economic impact of China's urban marathon events and their importance are analyzed.Based on the actual situation,some suggestions are given for the economic impact of urban marathon events in China.This paper has certain theoretical,practical significance and innovation.
