With the development of science and technology,intelligent input weakens the need of people's writing,and brings a certain impact on traditional writing.Writing ability should be paid more attention in today's era.This paper investigates the writing ability of senior pupils in a city and a rural school in Jiangxi Province by questionnaire,teacher interviews and classroom observation,including students' writing cognition,writing skills(sitting posture,writing posture,stroke sequence,shelf structure)and writing teaching classroom.Combining classroom teaching observation and teacher interviews,the following conclusions are drawn:1.Urban students' writing ability is generally stronger than rural students' writing ability;2.Urban and rural students' writing problems are mainly concentrated in the inadequate grasp of Chinese character writing skills;3.There are obvious differences between urban and rural writing teaching classes;4.Urban and rural students' writing skills are generally inadequate.Based on the relevant theories of physiology and psychology of primary school students,the author deeply analyses the influencing factors of the present situation of primary school students' writing ability.The internal factors include: 1.the physiological basis of primary school students' writing;2.the psychological mechanism of writing process;3.the difference of writing cognition.External factors include: 1.the impact of school factors;2.the impact of family factors;in addition,the complexity and variability of Chinese characters themselves also have a certain impact on primary school students' writing.Based on the current research results of primary school students' writing ability and the comprehensive analysis of the factors affecting their writing ability,this paper argues that the writing of primary school students before entering school can play a beneficial role in later writing.Therefore,this paper proposes that the acquisition of pre-writing ability of primary school students,through the exercise of pre-writing activities,let children form good writing habits,have basic perception of Chinese characters,teachers or parents to guide purposefully,so that children can lay a good foundation for writing Chinese characters.In addition,through the analysis of the current situation of primary school students' writing ability,it is found thatthe important manifestation of the irregular writing of Chinese characters is the inadequate writing of strokes.The author puts forward the teaching of writing skills,teaching students' writing skills,and improving the standardization of primary school students' writing of Chinese characters.Finally,based on the current situation of urban and rural pupils' writing ability,the improvement strategies should be put forward according to local conditions.Schools and parents in rural areas should pay more attention to pupils' writing ability and the acquisition of pre-pupils' writing ability.In urban areas,students' creative writing ability should be properly cultivated and stratified teaching should be carried out.
