Regional geography accounts for a large proportion of high school geography courses,which is very important for the whole high school geography curriculum.Regional geography not only embodies the comprehensiveness of geography,but also fully shows its regionality.Students have a good grasp of regional geography content,which can lay a good foundation for learning other geography knowledge.It can be seen that the teaching of geography in high school is very important.Nowadays,there are many problems in the teaching of geographical location in senior high schools,such as inefficient classroom,low teaching quality,poor teaching strategies and so on.How to improve classroom efficiency,improve teaching quality and apply effective teaching strategies in the process of regional positioning teaching is an urgent problem to be solved.Among the factors affecting the quality of teaching in geographical areas,gender differences are an important factor.Individual differences in cognitive ability of things are also influenced by gender differences.At present,there are few studies on gender differences in high school geographic location learning ability in China,and most of them focus on the gender differences in the overall geographic knowledge learning ability.In this paper,random sampling method is used to investigate and test the differences between male and female students' abilities in high school geographic location learning.At the same time,using the observation method and interviews to investigate the geography localization learning style of high school male and female students,it is found that high school boys and girls regional positioning methods,regional positioning learning speed,regional positioning learning methods,regional positioning learning difficulties exist difference.The reasons for gender differences in geographical location learning of senior high school students are mainly manifested in three aspects: physiology,psychology and environment.Based on the above research,a strategy based on gender differences in high school geography location teaching is proposed:Firstly,geography teachers should establish a correct gender outlook and formulate a reasonable strategy of "teaching according to nature" in the teaching of geographical location.Based on gender differences,the content of regional positioning courses is arranged,the goal of regional positioning teaching is established,the teaching strategy of regional positioning is selected,and the design of teaching evaluation is carried out.Secondly,geography teachers should focus on improving girls' ability to learn geographical location,arousing girls' interest in learning geography,increasing girls' confidence in learning geography,and cultivating girls' spatial thinking ability.
