As a special group which plays an important role in the development of college students and school management,college counselors clarify their job responsibilities and professional positioning that is very necessary.Under the macroscopical background of popularization of higher education,excellent college counselors play an indispensable role in improving the quality of personnel cultivation.Identity is a hot issue in psychology and sociology.To research the identity of college counselors is to improve the professional belonging of counselors from the perspectives of counselors'ego and endogenous structure,and to establish the professional ethics of counselors.The identity of counselors in colleges is the key factor that determines the effective development of counselors'work.Therefore,this thesis researches the internal structure of the identity of college counselors,the main influencing factors,and the reality of the identity of college counselors in China,which aims to make counselors more clearly define their own career orientation and adapt to the professional development of college work better.Therefore,the research on the identity of counselors as the front line of ideological and political education in colleges and universities is an objective need in the background of the popularization of higher education.In Party and government thought and student work,only in this way that counselors defines their own identity,can counselors make the correct behavior,which is beneficial to the objectives of ideological and political education in higher education and tasks of political orientation.In this thesis,the identity of college counsellors is defined as the process and result of realizing self-classification and gaining the identity of college counselors in the process of interaction with the pluralistic environment,while understanding and confirming the connotation of counselors defined by society according to their own characteristics under the specific cultural background of the popularization of higher education.This thesis is based on the theory of ego-identity and social identity in identity,focusing on the subject of college counselors,and combined with literature research and empirical analysis of questionnaire analysis and interviews,trying to discuss the reality of college counselors'identity and analyze the internal structure of college counselors'identity,and to refine the general process of the construction of college counselors'identity in China.The framework of the research can be divided into four parts.The first part is introduction.According to research interests and guidance of supervisor,research object of college counselors is selected eventually.Then,through the literature to sort out the status quo and existing problems of college counselors in China,the theoretical basis is determined,the identity of college counselors is regarded as the focus of this study,and the research methods that combine questionnaire analysis and literature analysis are all determined.The second part shows the related concept definition and theoretical construction.Firstly,the core concepts and main theories of this thesis are reviewed and summarized.Based on the ego-identity theory and social identity theory of identity theory,the theoretical analysis and induction of this research are completed.Moreover,on the basis of theoretical construction,the identity of college counselors is divided into four dimensions:value identity,ability identity,system identity,and organization identity.And the third part is empirical research.Based on a sample survey of college counselors from Hubei Province,this study uses SPSS22.0 data sof:tware to test the reliability and validity of the valid questionnaire,one-way ANOVA and correlation analysis,and obtains the statistical test results,which verifies the four identifying dimensions of college counselors.From the statistical data and literature analysis,the problem of the identity of Hubei college counselors:the counselors,work is frustrated and the self-identity is poor relatively,the counselors' career orientation is vague,and the ability standard is difficult to determine.What is more,counselor system defect as well as career attribution is difficult to establish,and the counselors'career development environment is relatively poor.The last part which is the fourth part mainly reveling research summary.According to the data of the empirical study and the existing problems of college counselors,this thesis puts forward specific suggestions on the construction of counselors'identity from the individual,colleges and national levels.
