In modern society, the Internet has increasingly become an important tool in people's daily life. The network brings technology dividends to reshape the traditional industry model and organizational form. The academic community has summarized the differences in network access and use among different social groups as the"digital divide" and conducted in-depth research on this phenomenon. In a nutshell, the digital divide is not only a problem of information technology popularization, but also a comprehensive gap at the technical, economic, knowledge and social levels.Research has further combed the reasons for affecting Internet usage preferences, and examined the internal differences of network users from the perspective of"digital inequality",thus combining social stratification research with Internet use. So,is there an inherent connection between class identity and Internet use behavior?Specifically, are there significant differences between different class groups in terms of time spent on the Internet,Internet goals, and network dependence? To this end, this study uses Bourdieu's social class analysis framework, based on the 2014 China Family Panel Studies data,to construct a multiple linear regression model to examine the behavioral preferences of different class groups in Internet use.The study found that class identity is related to Internet usage preferences. In terms of time, the middle class has the longest time in the amateur Internet, and there is no significant difference in the time spent on the Internet between the dominant class and the ordinary class;in terms of purpose, there is no significant difference in the social leisure of different classes in different classes, and there are significant differences in the growth of Internet learning among different classes; There are significant differences in network dependence between different classes. The study also found that personal cultural capital and age have a significant impact on amateur time,Internet access and network dependence.Considering that the non-labor class prefers to use the Internet for study and work, the study believes that the Internet "knowledge gap"between the working class and the non-labor class will exist for a long time, and the differences and divisions between social classes will be online.Cultural practice is fully demonstrated.
