| Current studies generally focus on the impact of mindfulness on the improvement of individual’s own well-being and physical and mental health, etc.,and few studies extend mindfulness to a broader range of social relationships to explore its positive role in interpersonal interaction and individual social behavior. As a positive element of mental health, traits mindfulness not only benefits the harmony and stability of self-psychological,but also promotes a greater degree of understanding and acceptance of others, thus showing more goodwill to others in social interactions.Based on this, exploring the relationship between traits mindfulness and prosocial behavior is the first aspect of this study.Among the many factors affecting prosocial behavior, individual trait differences are an important but easily overlooked factor.A large number of studies have shown that the individual’s empathy ability is a precondition for making prosocial behavior, and plays an important role in promoting the generation of prosocial behavior. At the same time, the study found that mindfulness training has an impact on the individual’s traits, and the improvement of traits and righteous thoughts after training is related to empathy. How do the righteous thoughts and empathy factors in individual traits affect prosocial behavior, and the relationship between traits, righteous thoughts, trait empathy and prosocial behavior is the second question explored in this study.Furthermore, whether the influence of individual traits on behavior in the context of inquiry is consistent with the tendency of individuals in the questionnaire measurement, which is more meaningful and more ecologically effective for promoting prosocial behavior.Based on the way of situational presentation, the influence of the level of individual mindfulness and the state empathy generated in the scene on prosocial behavior is investigated. This is the third question explored in this study. In addition, considering the different valence of empathy and the similarities and differences of individual behaviors, this study divided empathy into two types, positive empathy and negative empathy, and explored the characteristics and state of empathy respectively. Finally, gender differences in empathy and prosocial behavior are common in previous studies. While focusing on this issue, this study speculated that the relationship between mindfulness level and prosocial behavior may also be regulated by gender factors. Therefore, the possible moderating effects of gender are explored in this study.Based on the above problems, the research focuses on the two characteristics of traits and states, and the small series of research series are explored separately. In the first study, the questionnaire method was used to explore the relationship between traits righteous thoughts and prosocial behavioral tendencies through the five-factor mindfulness questionnaire and the prosocial behavioral tendency scale.Secondly, the five-factor mindfulness questionnaire, the prosocial behavioral orientation scale, the interpersonal reaction indicator scale and the trait positive empathy scale were constructed in the class, and the intermediary model was constructed to test the trait empathy between the traits mindfulness and the prosocial behavioral tendency.Intermediary role, and according to the different emotional efficacies of empathy, test the mediating role of positive empathy and negative empathy. In the second study, the situational stimulus materials are adapted and evaluated.Secondly, different emotional valences are initiated in specific state situations, and the stability and particularity of the three relationships in the state scene are further explored. The results show that trait mindfulness is positively correlated with prosocial behavior tendency.Mindfulness can not only directly predict the prosocial behavior tendency, but also affect the prosocial behavior through the mediation of empathy, and both positive empathy and negative empathy hold true in the mediation between mindfulness and prosocial behavior. The positive/negative empathy of high mindfulness was significantly higher than that of low mindfulness, and the positive/negative empathy of girls was higher than that of boys. The moderating effect of gender on the direct influence of mindfulness on prosocial behavior exists in the negative situation: the prosocial behavior of the female with high mindfulness is more than that of the male with low mindfulness, and there is no significant difference between the male with high mindfulness and the female with low mindfulness. There was marginal significance in the positive situation: the prosocial behavior of the high-mindfulness girls was higher than that of the low-mindfulness girls, and there was no significant difference among the boys. |
