In 2014,the State Council reviewed and approved the “Implementation Opinions on Deepening the Reform of the Examinations and Enrollment System”,which indicates that the new college entrance examination enrollment system was initially launched.One of the outstanding changes in this round of college entrance examination reform is the abolition of liberal arts and sciences.Students can choose three subjects from the six subjects of politics,history,geography,physics,chemistry and biology according to the professional requirements of the colleges and colleges and their own interests..As a non-first batch of pilot areas,Jiangxi Province has an early reference to predict the intent,characteristics and motivation of students in the transition period of the new and old college entrance examination system,and has important reference significance for the successful implementation of the new college entrance examination system in Jiangxi Province.This article uses literature research method,questionnaire survey method,case interview method,analytical statistical method,through the examination of monographs,journals,papers,government work reports and other related literature,to understand the new situation of the domestic college entrance examination reform,as well as the factors affecting candidates’ selection of subjects,Find out the current problems and determine the research content of this topic.Then,the questionnaires were designed and prepared reasonably,and the current situation of high school students’ geographical orientation was selected to investigate the current situation and reasons why high school students would be included in the selection of subjects.Finally,the questionnaire was statistically analyzed,and the conclusions from the survey were summarized to provide some reference opinions for the secondary schools and frontline geography teachers.The research findings of this subject have found the following six conclusions: First,the proportion of geography courses is ranked first among the six subjects;second,in the process of geography,students are more interested in the curriculum and subject interests.From the perspective of the third;the external factors affecting the candidate’s geography selection are mainly from the classroom teachers;fourth,the special nature of the interest and life of the geography discipline attracts many students to apply for the exam;the fifth is the selection of candidates for geography.The utilitarian nature;sixth is that students do not know enough about the upcoming "3+3" college entrance examination model in Jiangxi Province.To this end,the major secondary schools can make corresponding adjustment measures in advance for the conclusion of this survey,for example: timely organize the corresponding college entrance examination selection guidance lectures;conduct “walk-to-work” teaching for students who choose different subjects;Popular geography disciplines,rational allocation of teachers,and good job in talent reserve in advance.The first-line geography teachers can: strengthen their professional skills and teaching ability,and play a good role as a bridge between students and geography;in the course of the course,the introduction of the content of geography can be appropriately extended to deepen the students’ geography curriculum.Cognition and understanding;changing teaching concepts,focusing on the integration of knowledge points and the coaching of answering techniques according to students’ needs.
