The reform of the new college entrance examination subject has begun to be implemented in many provinces since the State Council issued the Implementation Opinions on Deepening the Reform of the Examination Recruiting System.However,the question of how to make reasonable choices still plagues students,teachers and parents.The research on the choice of new college entrance examination subjects can not only provide advice for senior high school students to choose subjects,but also promote the application of psychological measurement tools in the field of pedagogy.On the basis of literature analysis and interviews,this paper researches the selection of the new college entrance examination subjects by using questionnaire measurement and other empirical methods.And the paper is divided into three chapters,specific as follows:In research one,with 616 freshman of senior high school as the subjects,using the questionnaire to investigate the status,influencing factors and current problems of the subjects of college entrance examination chosen by high school students.The research shows that the number of students who choose physics,chemistry and biology is small,while the number of people who choose politics,history,geography,and technology is relatively large.And there are certain differences in the choice of subjects between boys and girls,class cadres and non class cadres.In addition the individual factors,future development prospects of the subjects,school factors and their family affect the selection of subjects.At present,the subject selection of senior high school students is mainly faced with the problems of choosing utilitarianism,lack of self-awareness and lack of understanding about the content of subject and so on.In research two,608 sophomore were selected as subjects,questionnaire survey was used to explore the relationship between academic achievement,reasoning ability and the result of the selection of college entrance examination subjects.The results show that chemistry achievement and reasoning ability influence their selection ofchemistry.Similarly,biological performance and reasoning ability influence their selection of biology.In addition,english achievement,chemistry achievement,biological achievement,political achievement and reasoning ability influence their selection of politics;historical achievements,math achievement and reasoning ability influence their selection of history;geographical results influence their selection of geography;geographical achievement and technical achievement influence the selection of technology.Academic performance and reasoning ability affect high school students' choice of subjects.High school students can use their real learning results for each subject since their enrollment as a reference and combine their cognitive abilities,interests,and specialties to make a reasonable choice of subjects.In research three,608 sophomore were selected as subjects,using the same way to explore the relationship among personality type,cognitive style and subject selection.between personalitay type,cognitive style and subject selection.The results demonstrated that the E-I dimension in MBTI and gender affect their selection of physics.Moreover,the T-F dimension in MBTI,cognitive style,and gender influence their selection of chemistry;cognitive style and gender influence their selection of biology;cognitive style,the J-P dimension in MBTI,gender,and birthplace influence the selection of politics;cognitive style,gender,and birthplace influence their selection of history;cognitive style affects their selection of geography;cognitive style and gender influence the selection of technology.The dimensions of cognitive style and MBTI personality type influence the choice of high school students for each subject.High school students can combine their own cognitive style,personality type to make reasonable choice.
