The Analysis On The Characteristics Of Offensive Techniques And Tactics Of Ma Long And Fan Zhendong,Chinese Men’s Table Tennis Players

Objective: exploring technique & tactic features of domestic table tennis players Ma Long and Fan Zhendong so as to provide suggestions based on objective problems.Methods: employing the method of literature review,video observation,logic analysis and so on,staring from the point view of attacking technique & tactic to summarize features of Ma Long and Fan Zhendong,data on the attacking techniques,ball lines and combination of ball lines were collected and analyzed of these two players’ matches from 2016 to 2018.Results: when initiate attack first,the scoring rate of Ma long and Fan Zhendong were both around 57%;Fan mainly initiated attack frequently while Ma tended to initiate attack later;the following one strike attack after initiating attack to end a rally created large proportion of points won and points lost,and scoring rates of the two both beyond 64%;while that of the second strike attack were lower than 50%.Collecting data from forehand position,backhand position and middle position,the results shown that Ma Long and Fan Zhendong had the backhand using rates of 53% and 45% respectively;the last attack strike mainly tended to change ball lines of which the using rate beyond 59%.Through analysis,the conclusions were the follows:1 Overall speaking,Ma Long and Fan Zhendong both initiate attack actively,reflected by the effect of initiate better than that of the non-initiate attack;these two players had high initiate attack quality but the speed of connection and return ready status were slow,with many faults,when entering into multiple strikes usually had the advantages.2 Ma Long had active and stable ball paths changes when attack,which gave Ma advantages especially changing ball paths the first two strikes.If Ma Long didn’t change ball paths the first two strikes,it usually leaded to the inferior position.3 Fan Zhengdong was very active to initiate attack in which his backhand loop inside the table was the main attacking technique with strong spin and power,the connection was fluent and quick.After initiating attack,Fan mainly used backhand attack which effectively disturbed opponents’ rhythm.However,when initiate attack later,stability declined and connection speed lowered which lead to more mistakes and low scoring efficiency.The effect of Fan Zhengdong’s 1st attack with ball path change was better than non-ball-path change;when initiate attack later,to change ball path at the 1st strike didn’t create good effect while he can be in slight advantageous status when he didn’t change ball path.Compared with ball path changes from the middle line and forehand position,Fan Zhendong had high losing point rate with his backhand ball path changes.
