An Analysis Of The Skills And Tactics Of Fan Zhendong,an Excellent Male Table Tennis Player In Recent Five Years

Table tennis,as the national ball of China,is one of the most widespread and popular sports in China and has had a good mass base for many years.The competitive level of table tennis in China has been at the top of the international level for many years,both in terms of professional competition and among the general public.The Chinese men’s table tennis team has continued its glorious chapter of history by achieving perfect results at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 following the Rio2016 Olympics.Fan Zhendong,the number one ranked player in the world in men’s table tennis(as of December 2022),performed particularly well in the Tokyo Olympics,and thus became one of the key research targets for researchers.Although Fan Zhendong is the main athlete of the national men’s table tennis team,he has also experienced a lack of form and match losses during the competition,so this study is to ensure that Fan Zhendong will have another good performance in the future competition,which requires an in-depth analysis and study of his techniques and tactics.In this article,the effectiveness of Fan Zhendong’s technical and tactical use in10 matches against Ma Long,Lin Gaoyuan,Xu Yingbin,Zhang Ben Zhihe,Zheng Rongsik,Zhang Wuzhen,Simon Gotze,Ochalov,and Moregard in the past five years is studied.The article analyzes and studies the technical and tactical use and characteristics of Fan Zhendong’s 10 matches in the past five years by using the unique three-division index assessment method of table tennis;literature method;video observation method;mathematical and statistical method and logical analysis method.Conclusion: The highest score rate among Fan Zhendong’s three sections is the serve-and-snatch section with an average score rate of 66%,followed by the phase holding section with an average score rate of 53%,and the lowest average score rate of the catch-and-snatch section with an average score rate of 52%.Although the score rate of the receiving section is the lowest value,the score rate of the receiving section is assessed as excellent when it exceeds 50%,the score rate of the holding section is assessed as excellent when it exceeds 55%,and the score rate between 50% and 55%is assessed as good in the table tennis "three-stage index assessment method".Therefore,although the average score of Fan Zhendong’s holding section is 53%higher than the 52% value of the receiving section,it can only be assessed as good in the evaluation criteria.This shows that although Fan Zhendong’s three segments are similar,Fan Zhendong’s holding technique is the weaker part in the match.Although Fan Zhendong has no obvious weaknesses in the three segments,the analysis of his technique shows that the main score in the match is mainly in the hairpin segment.In the serve and grab section,Fan Zhen Dong’s strengths and techniques can play well in the match and win the match with a high score rate.Suggestions: First of all,Fan Zhendong can change his serve means and serve rotation more when serving,combining the drop of the serve for long and short,and combining the spin and non-spin ball changes on the serve rotation.In the game more use of serve rotation will confuse the opponent,so as to achieve the direct score in the game serve.Secondly,Fan Zhendong should strengthen the stability of the holding section in the match,take the initiative to increase the frequency of overhand and reduce the error rate in the holding phase.Both in the future training and in the game should pay attention to the quality,line and speed of the holding section,effectively control their own game rhythm,so that their technical and tactical level can be more comprehensive and fully played out.
