| Lin Liru is a famous educator in modern China,With profound knowledge of modern pedagogy.He devoted his whole life to the cause of culture and education,under the background of drastic social changes,he bravely explored and practiced,forming a unique educational thought.Lin liru reviewed many drawbacks of China’s normal education at that time,and believed that modern teachers should have a strong sense of serving the society.After the founding of new China,he pointed out more clearly that teachers in the new era should aim at serving the people,devote their lives to education,and be worthy of teaching and educating people.The teacher qualification standard proposed by him has developed from the initial mastery of basic teaching skills to the right political stand,exquisite and profound knowledge,and the ability to know little,that is,the red and professional standard of having both ability and political integrity.Lin Liru’s thought of secondary education mainly includes two parts: secondary education and vocational education.The former roughly experienced the evolution and development of four stages before,during,and after the War of Resistance and after the founding of the People’s Republic of China.In his opinion,secondary education is full personality education.Later,in order to meet the needs of the Anti-Japanese War,he advocated that the mission should be to train cadres at the grass-roots level for the founding of the revolution.After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War,he also believed that the way out for secondary education was to cultivate the middle class and small bourgeois.After the founding of New China,he advocated that the task of secondary education is to train new young intellectuals who can be the backbone of the new society,reflecting the needs of China’s revolution and construction developing.Lin Liru’s vocational education thought experienced four stages: negation,learning,development and maturity.However,his national education thought was formed in the practice of civilian education and matured in the 1930 s and 1940 s.It can be roughly divided into two periods according to historical sequence.In the first stage,he criticized traditional Chinese education and advocated reforming the national bad habits.In the second stage,he discussed the reasons for the backwardness of China’s national education and its development conditions.He believed that national education could only occur in a resolute and thorough revolutionary struggle,and recognized the problem of national education from the height of helping the nation to become rich and powerful.Lin Liru’s educational thought is an important part of modern and contemporary Chinese educational thought.It is of enlightening significance for us to review and develop today’s education by sorting out and summarizing it comprehensively and systematically,extracting its essence and removing its dross. |
