Critical thinking disposition is also known as the quality of critical thinking or critical spirit,and it constitutes critical thinking together with critical thinking skills.Not all individuals are willing to apply critical thinking.While critical thinking disposition could play the role of regulation and control,and its role is no less important than critical thinking skills in the formation of critical thinking.Therefore,the cultivation of critical thinking should go beyond the training of critical thinking skills,and the cultivation of consciousness and spirit of the critical thinking should also be fulfilled in education.The paper focuses on the current situation of critical thinking disposition of senior high school students,and the purpose is to put forward some strategies to cultivate senior high school students' critical thinking disposition through the teaching of biology.First of all,the research investigated students' critical thinking disposition in four senior high schools in Kaifeng through Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory formulated by Peng Meici.After the survey data was analyzed in detail,the current situation and the problems of critical thinking disposition of senior high school students in Kaifeng were summarized.It is found that the critical thinking disposition of senior high school students is at a positive level as a whole,and there are great differences in the different dimensions.In the dimensions of open mind,analysis,curiosity and cognitive maturity,the senior high school students get higher scores.However,the scores are lower on the dimensions of pursuing truth,systematization and self-confidence in critical thinking.Further difference analysis indicated that there are differences between students in different high schools.The students in the provincial model senior high schools whose critical thinking disposition is significantly higher than those in general senior high schools.There is no significant difference in the disposition of critical thinking among senior high school students of different grades,different genders and different subjects.High school students whose families are located in rural areas are weaker than those whose families are located in urban areas in some dimensions.High school students with the experience of class leader have significantly higher critical thinking disposition than those students who didn't have.There is a positive correlation between parents' education level and critical thinking disposition,but there is no correlation between parents' work type and critical thinking disposition.Schools,teachers,families and students could have an influence on senior high school students' critical thinking disposition.The paper focuses on the reasons from the perspective of teachers and students.Based on the requirements of high school biology teaching to develop students' critical thinking,and aiming to promote students' critical thinking disposition,the paper puts forward some measures to cultivate students' critical thinking disposition combined with biology.The teachers should update their teaching concepts and pay close attention to the development of students' thinking.Reinforce the study of theory and put the goal of cultivating critical thinking disposition into class teaching.Create a problem situation to arouse students' initiative.Guide students to think independently by questioning.Build biological concepts to increase comprehensive ability.These series of measures are aimed at cultivating students' critical thinking disposition in the actual teaching of biology,and aimed at developing students' critical thinking disposition in the round.
