Having strong critical thinking is conducive to improving information literacy,enhancing the survivability of the information age,improving innovation capabilities.The measurement studies of critical thinking in the psychology and education circles in China started relatively late.They mainly focused on the translation and revision of foreign scales,and the subjects of the survey were mainly university students.In this study,senior high school students were the subjects of the survey.Three studies were conducted by consulting literature,questionnaires,and interviews.One was a confirmatory study that revised the California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory based on senior high school geographic learning scenarios.The total volume of Cron bach's Alpha was 0.882 and the standardized Cronbach's Alpha was 0.878;the half-half reliability was 0.804 and 0.791.Except for the "analysis ability" and "systematization ability"subscale reliability is between 0.4-0.6,the rest of the subscale reliability is very high,between 0.6-0.8.Overall,the scale has good reliability and validity.The second is exploratory research.Taking into account China's profound historical and cultural background,there may be inconsistencies in the expression of critical thinking with foreign scales.On the basis of actual measurement,the exploratory study found that the three-dimensional dimensions of the critical thinking disposition of high school students in China are:self-confidence and knowledge,maturity of thinking,and truth-seeking;nine secondary dimensions-thinking:self-confidence,thirst for knowledge,clear goals,impartial thinking,analytical thinking,perseverance in thinking,humility in thinking,courage in thinking,autonomy in thinking.The third one is a scale.On the basis of three times of analysis and four modification,a measure of critical thinking disposition of senior high school students based on geographical learning scenarios was formed.The reliability and validity of the third revised edition and the fourth revised edition are all satisfactory.The third revised scale totaled 36 questions.The total volume of Cronbach's Alpha is 0.868,standardized item Cronbach's Alpha is 0.876 and is highly reliable.By the odd and even grouping of the question number,the Cronbach's Alpha score of the scale is 0.828 and 0.671,and the reliability is good.The correlation coefficient between the three first-degree subscales is between 0.3-0.8,indicating that the structural validity is ideal.The fourth revision of the scale totaled 27 questions.The total volume of Cronbach's Alpha was 0.882,and the standardized item Cronbach's Alpha was 0.883,and the reliability is very high.By the odd and even grouping of the question number,the Cronbach's Alpha split-half reliability is 0.779 and 0.801.According to the first half and the latter half,Cronbach's Alpha split-half reliability is 0.848 and 0.724,and the reliability is good.The reliability of the three first-degree subscales is between 0.7-0.9.The reliability of the nine secondary subscales is between 0.46 and 0.86.The correlation coefficient between the three first-degree subscales is between 0.46 and 0.7,indicating that the validity of the structure is relatively satisfactory.The correlation coefficient between the three subscales and the total subscale is between 0.76 and 0.9,which is acceptable.Most of the correlation coefficients between the secondary subscale and the population are between 0.46-0.8,which is acceptable.The fourth revision scale was used to evaluate students of grade 10 and grade 11,then 192 valid papers were obtained(66 males,34.4%;126 females,65.6%).The overall score was 116.98.The average score of boys is 122.64,and the average score of girls is 114.02.Through the independent T-sample test,the results show that there is a significant difference in the total score between boys and girls.This study enriches the theory of critical thinking assessment of the geography discipline in China.Every student or student group has different ways of thinking.Students and teachers can use this research scale to measure and understand the critical thinking characteristics of themselves or groups.According to this,we can reflect on and improve the learning or teaching methods so as to continuously improve the level of critical thinking in order to adapt to the production and life of the.information age.This study has a strong practical significance.
