As an educational activity in cultivating spiritual beliefs,shaping perfect personality and developing moral lifestyle,the ideological and political education is the need of all members of society.Colleges and universities’ ideological and political education has always been in an extremely important position in the current education system because of its strong Party spirit,political and ideological natures,as well as the value-oriented and moral-cultivating property.The professional teachers in colleges and universities refer to all the teachers who undertake the teaching tasks of the compulsory courses in humanities and social sciences as well as the natural and technical sciences.They are obviously know from the "Ideological and Political Theory Course Teachers" and the "General-knowledge Course Teachers".The professional course teachers that in the need of the times changing,national rejuvenation,educational concepts development,students’ grow-up and self-actualization that raise the burden of young students’ideological and political education.The professional teachers are brave in taking the ideological and political responsibilities and actively carry out a wide range of corresponding practices,using their own unique advantages to exert the function of guiding,stimulating and regulating.But in the meanwhile,there are problems of strengthening the sense,improving the comprehensive quality,exerting two or more methods,completing the provisions,and consolidating effect of ideological and political of the professional course teachers need to be analyzed and resolved.From the perspective of the thesis,"What’s the topic?","Why does the study feasible and imperative?" and "How does the thesis author carry on the research?"are considered as the very logical route.Firstly,the introductory part briefly introduces the reasons for the selection of the thesis,the significance of the research and the research dynamics at home and abroad,as well as summarizes the research ideas,writing framework structure,research methods,research difficulties and possible innovations.Secondly,as a basic theory part and a part of the reality value,the first chapter discusses the ideological and political education function of the professional teachers and shows the new requirements for the very functions.Thirdly,as part of the problem understanding,the second chapter emphasizes the investigation and analysis of the present situation of the functions of the professional teachers.Fourthly,as the problem-solving part,the third chapter draws the countermeasures and suggestions for promoting the functions of the professional teachers.Last but not the least,the concluding remarks reaffirm the objectivity,practicality and scientific nature of the topic,reiterate the timeliness,effectiveness,necessity and difficulty of the research.In a nutshell,this study is highly theoretical and practical.
