Intertemporal decision-making is an individual’s final decision-making behavior after comparing the benefits based on different time points.Most of intertemporal decisions have a major impact on individual health,happiness,as well as to the formulation of national policies and policies.Based on the social class,this study explores the basic psychological needs preferences of different social class,and analyze the impact on intertemporal decision that the premise of satisfy their needs preferences.The pre-experiment analysis the preferences of three basic psychological needs of different social class.Through the experimental method,the subjective social class of the subject was manipulated,and the vocabulary decision-making task paradigm was used.The subjects were asked to judge the three basic psychological needs related words.The experiment started with the social class(high class/low class)as the independent variable,and the respondent’s demand related words reacted as the dependent variable.The results show that the low-class pay more attention to need for acceptance and need for predictability.The high-class pay more attention to need for competence.Study 1 to Study 3 are 2(social class: high/low class)×2(basic psychological needs: satisfy/not satisfy)between-subjects design,and analyze the impact of social class and need for acceptance,social class and need for predictability and social class and need for competence on intertemporal decision.The results show that low-class make larger and later decision when their need for acceptance and need for predictability are satisfied.There is no significant difference that high-class on intertemporal decision when their need for acceptance and need for predictability satisfy or not.high-class make larger and later decision when their need for competence are satisfied.There is no significant difference that low-class on intertemporal decision when their need for competence are satisfy or not.The conclusions of this study are as follows: first,low-class pay more attention to need for acceptance and need for predictability,the high-class pay more attention to need for competence.Second,low-class make larger and later decision when their need for acceptance and need for predictability are satisfied,high-class make larger and later decision when need for competence are satisfied.The conclusions of our study are able to guide people to make more reasonable and scientific decisions.
