Research On Female Fertility Values In The New Era

In recent years,both national policies and researchers have paid great attention to the issue of female fertility.Fertility values are a core part of the concept of fertility.Promoting the values of female fertility in the new era has a positive effect on promoting female fertility behavior.From the perspective of psychology,this study makes a detailed investigation and Study on the psychological structure,related factors and mechanism of women’s fertility values in the new era.It can not only enrich the theory of women’s fertility values,but also provide basis and suggestions for the implementation of the comprehensive two-child policy by understanding the characteristics and status quo of women’s fertility values.This study consists of four parts altogether: The first part,on the basis of literature analysis,constructs the theoretical dimension of women’s fertility values in the new era with the results of open-ended questionnaire survey,compiles the Questionnaire of Female fertility values according to the existing values questionnaire items,and then uses exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis to analyze the psychological structure of women’s fertility values.At the same time,the letter and validity of the selfmade questionnaire were tested.In the second part,using the self-compiled Female fertility values and the Apprehension of Social Support Scale,the basic characteristics of Female fertility values in the new era and the related influencing factors are analyzed.In the third part,using the experimental method of 2(fertility behavior: fertile group and infertile group)*2(fertility values: high group and low group),we discussed the moderating effect of different fertility behaviors on the intertemporal decision-making mechanism of women’s Fertility Values in the new era,in which time discount rate was the dependent variable.The fourth part,using case interviews,supplements the research on female fertility values from the qualitative perspective,explores the relevant factors of female fertility values and their impact on reproductive behavior.Based on the above studies,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Female fertility values in the new epoch are multi-dimensional and multi-level structures,including family emotional values,internal preferences,utilitarian pursuit,participation in evaluation,investment preparation and responsibility orientation.(2)The questionnaire of Female Fertility Values has good reliability and validity and meets the psychometric criteria.(3)Female fertility values in the new epoch are at a moderate to slightly higher level,with family emotional values scoring the highest and utilitarian values scoring the lowest.(4)In different demographic variables,there are significant differences in women’s fertility values in the new epoch: women in different working conditions have significant differences in the ovepochll and various dimensions of fertility values;women in different residences have significant differences in the ovepochll and various dimensions of fertility values,which is manifested in the fact that the score of urban women’s fertility values is significantly lower than that of urban women.Fertility values of urban and rural women.(5)There is a significant positive correlation between female fertility values and perceived social support in the new epoch.(6)Fertility behavior plays a moderating role in the mechanism of the influence of female fertility values on cross-period decision-making,which is manifested in that in the fertile group,female fertility values have no significant predictive effect on cross-period decision-making;in the non-fertile group,female fertility values have a negative predictive effect on cross-period decision-making,that is,women with high fertility values tend to prefer long-term interests.
