The Study On Money Values Of Middle School Students

Money is an important way to meet individual needs,and there is a hidden personal value orientation behind it.This study uses qualitative survey methods to conduct in-depth interviews with eight junior school students on issues related to money,based on the objectives,means,and evaluation of money.Generic analysis and constitutional analysis method are the main analysis method for interview data.Purpose?The conduct content mainly contain the purpose,approach and evaluation about obtaining money.There are five main findings as following:1.The purpose of junior students to obtain money mainly has two characteristics: the purpose of rationality and self-interest value and the purpose of altruistic value;2.In terms of the means of obtaining money,although junior students has not been economic independence,junior students have shown that they can achieving their goals by themselves.3.The evaluation of money by junior students mainly includes evaluation of the purpose of obtaining money,evaluation of the approach of obtaining money,and evaluation of the importance of money.4.According to Inglehart's theory of postmodern values,the value of money in junior students has the characteristics of "time and space compression" in which the characteristics of tradition,modernity and post-modernity coexist.5.The value of money in junior students has the dual characteristics of money values that deviate from knowledge and behavior.For example,it tends to rational consumption on their thought,but it is impulsive and lacks rational control in their action.
