Picture book reading is not only an important situation to promote the development of children's reading comprehension ability, but also an important and informal literacy activity to promote children's print acquisition.Children learn the pronunciation, spelling and meaning of print by actively reading the print and interacting with them during picture books reading. The eye movement studies on the print fixation of preschool children during picture book reading have revealed that the children rarely look at the print when they are being read to,and there were not the same conclusion on the relationship of the print acquisition and the fixation on the print during picture book reading. Most of studies were monitored under the independent story reading context but failed to take into account the main reading situation of children in actual activities-shared reading. In addition, the research on the relationship between the print fixation and print acquisition mostly adopted single reading,so it was difficult to explore the co-directional relationship between the print fixation and print acquisition.A total of 119 children ranging in age from 4 to 6 years old participated in this study and reading material is ‘little brother mouse wants an apple'.The children's eye movements during five repeated shared readings were monitored by Tobii X3-120.The children were also measured with the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test(PPVT),Expressive Vocabulary Test(EVT),literacy test and comprehension test. The research focuses on the following issues:1.What are the changes in the print fixation of 4-6 year-old children during repeated reading?2.How the print acquisition of 4-6 year old children in repeated reading?3.How the 4-6-year-old children's existing print acquisition affects the print fixation during the picture book reading?4.How 4-6-year-old children's existing print acquisition and the print fixation during the picture book reading affect their text acquisition after reading?5.Is there a co-directional relationship between children's print fixation and their print acquisition in picture book reading? The results showed that children attend to illustration earlier than print and they pay more attention to the illustration compared to the print. And with the growth of age, children will read the print more but later.Children's print fixation level in repeated reading shows a gradual upward trend, but after reading several times, the fixation level will decrease due to the weakening of interest in print or unstable cognition. The stronger the children's original language acquisition ability, the higher their level of print fixation. The children's original print acquisition directly affects their print acquisition after repeated reading, and children's print fixation during picture book reading promotes their incidental acquisition of print. The research draws the following conclusions: 1.4-6-year-old children's print fixation during repeated reading showed a change of increasing first and then decreasing.2.Preschool children can acquire print incidentally in repeated reading of picture books.3.Preschool children's existing print acquisition can promote their level of print fixation in picture book reading.4.Preschool children's print fixation regulates the effect of children's original literacy on their print acquisition.5.There is co-directional relationship between the print fixation and print acquisition.Suggestions are as follows: 1.Give children the opportunity to explore words through repeated reading.2.Properly guide children according to print fixation rules.3.Provide support for children's print acquisition.
