Repeated reading is very common in preschool children.It extsts in different kinds of reading activities of children,soletimes it can be repeated in a shared reading,and sometimes it can be repeated in chilcdren's independent reading.Moreover,the effects of repeated reading in different reading styles are different.In order to investigate the effects of repeated reading in different reading styles and eye movelent patterns in preschool children,two experiments were conducted in this study.Experiment 1 examined 16 children's,aged 4-5 years old,repeated reading of picture book with text in different reading styles.The study recorded children's eye movement data of text attention in first,third and fifth times reading,and children's reading comprehension.Experiment 2 examined 28 children's,aged 4-5 years old,repeated reading of wordless picture book in different reading styles.The study recorded children's eye movement data of story elements attention in picture in first,third and fifth times reading,and children's reading comprehension.The main conclusions are as follows:1.Compared with the repeated reading under the independent reading,repeated reading under the shared reading is more conducive to improve the children's text attention.2.Whether shared reading or independent reading,the character elements such as the protagonist and the non-lead character in the picture area are the focus of the children's attention.With repeated reading,the attention of young children to the character elelents is gradually reduced.With repeated reading,the children's attention to the background area is gradually increasing;3.Repeated reading can effectively improve children's understanding of the story.Moreover,the repeated reading of the picture book without words can effectively improve the clhildren's understanding of the structure of the story;Finally,based on the results of this study,some educational advice for the preschool children's picture books reading were given to the parents and teachers.
