Bring Your Own Device(hereinafter referred to as BYOD)as a new way of information technology application,has been widely concerned by the educational circles,and has become an important trend in the development of educational informatization.Although many schools have begun to try BYOD teaching,its effectiveness is obvious to all.However,for the new technology,new environment,BYOD teaching in the implementation process also faces many challenges.Many teachers regard BYOD as "functional fixity",that is,mobile phones,tablets and other mobile devices have only the effect of communication and entertainment,exaggerating the constraints of mobile devices,ignoring their affordances and educational value.Therefore,it is necessary to correctly understand the effect of BYOD on teachers' teaching and to change teachers' one-sided views on BYOD.It is also meaningful to the progress of BYOD teaching.Of course,things always have two sides,and BYOD may have constraints when it comes to classroom teaching.So,this study not only explores the teaching affordances of BYOD,but also pays attention to its constraints in teaching.It also provides correct theoretical guidance to teachers and students who participate in BYOD teaching,and promotes BYOD teaching to move in the right direction.In this study,12 primary school BYOD class teachers were taken as the research object,and qualitative research methods were used to conduct in-depth interviews to explore the affordances and constraints of BYOD on teachers' teaching in primary schools.This study includes two main parts: Firstly,this study conducted semi-structured interviews with 12 teachers.It includes three aspects:(1)the basic situation of teachers,such as the basic information of teaching subjects,teaching years,professional titles;(2)the elaboration of teachers' actual teaching experience;(3)teachers' perception of the affordances and constraints of BYOD.Secondly,this study analyses the interview content.Firstly,the recording content of the interview is converted into text to form the text content.Secondly,open encoding and encoding of text based on existing dimensions are carried out to explore the specific dimensions of the affordances and constraints of BYOD in teaching,and the internal relationship between the affordances and constraints.Through the research,the researcher draws the following conclusions:(1)BYOD realizes privatization of equipment,special equipment for personnel,changing the way of teaching and learning,optimizing teacher teaching and promoting student development.(2)The affordances and constraints of BYOD coexist in learning and teaching activities.BYOD has technical affordances and educational affordances on teaching and learning,and has constraints in technical constraints,personal constraints and social constraints.BYOD interacts with the affordances and constraints of teaching.The utility of technical utility promotes the realization of educational utility.The constraints of technical constraints,personal constraints,and social constraints are related to the exertion of technical affordances and educational affordances.The exploration and practice of BYOD affordances has weakened the impact of constraints.(3)BYOD changes teachers' teaching methods and students' learning methods,and can increase the ability of perception and adopting BYOD in teaching practice,which brings positive guidance to teaching development.Based on this,this study puts forward the following suggestions for the development and implementation of the self-contained equipment teaching:(1)Correctly consider the affordances and constraints of BYOD on teaching and learning,not "myth" and not "avoid",to achieve normalized teaching;2)Avoid using technology in order to use technology,and strive to turn the trend into an advantage;(3)Teachers and parents jointly supervise students to use their own equipment to jointly promote student development.
