Research On Format Checking And Content Proofreading Of Academic Papers

Academic papers are an important part of teaching in higher education institutions and an embodiment of the quality of teaching in higher education institutions.The format of academic papers and the standardization of content are one of the important manifestations of the quality of dissertations.In order to alleviate the burden of students and instructors on the review and revision of academic papers,and let the students and instructors focus more on the academic level of the thesis,this paper conducts an in-depth study of the format and content proofreading of academic papers.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)This paper proposes a format check algorithm.The algorithm includes a page matching algorithm based on minimum editing distance.The format checking algorithm first extracts the text information of the checked papers;then locates each part of the paper structure by using the page matching algorithm based on the minimum editing distance and regular expressions;and then extracts the format information of each part of the paper structure and compares it with the standard configuration rule file for checking,and realizes the checking of text formats such as font,font size,paragraph line spacing,indentation and alignment,as well as the checking of special text formats such as chapter number,table number and references,and finally generates a concise and accurate checking report.(2)This paper proposes an improved Chinese content proofreading algorithm based on LanguageTool.The algorithm mainly includes three parts:word segmentation,rule base based proofreading and true word proofreading.In the participle part,this paper tests and analyzes the five word segmentation tools,selects the ICTCLAS word segmentation tool;in the rule base proofreading part,collects 3385 positive and wrong word pairs by writing the crawler program and automatically generates word rules for the collected word pairs,and manually add grammar rules,expand the LanguageTool rule base;in the true word proofing part,the Chinese word pinyin comparison table and similar phonetic table automatically generate a true word confusion set and add the true word error proofing function based on the LanguageTool.The experimental results show that the performance of the Chinese content proofreading algorithm based on LanguageTool is better.
