The newly revised Biology Curriculum Standard for Senior High Schools(2017 edition)(hereinafter referred to as the new curriculum standard)is an important link in deepening the curriculum reform of Senior High Schools.In the elaboration of basic concepts,the new standard adds the task of completing engineering and puts it in the same position as inquiry activities.Integrating the understanding of Engineering design,the core idea of Engineering practice,into the teaching of biological concepts,deepening students' understanding of biological concepts by completing engineering tasks,enhancing their ability of applying knowledge and fostering innovative spirit.With the guidance of STEM's integrated educational thought,the integration of the core idea of engineering practice into science education to promote teaching has become a focus of attention.By using the method of literature research,this paper combs the related theories of engineering practice and biology concepts at home and abroad,and clarifies the research background,significance and core ideas of Engineering practice.Next,the concepts of biology,engineering practice,core concepts or related concepts are defined,and combined with the New Curriculum Standard,the general steps of engineering practice to promote the generation of biological concepts are discussed as vertical extension,combing biological concepts and teaching strategies as horizontal extension.Next,the related investigation and analysis of engineering practice and biology teaching application are carried out to clarify senior high school students.Biology teachers and students have the potential to carry out biology concept teaching based on engineering practice.On this basis,the concept of biology is sorted out as a horizontal extension,the general steps of engineering practice as a vertical extension,the implementation of vertical and horizontal intersection of teaching practice.According to the teaching practice,it is found that the engineering task can promote the students' learning and application of biological concepts to a certain extent,which meets the requirements of the high school biology curriculum reform;through engineering practice and teaching strategies,it can improve students' ability to understand knowledge,apply knowledge and solve problems in real life;to a certain extent,it can promote students' engineering practice thinking.The development of dimensionality.
