Empirical Study On Social Work Participation In Social Assistance

This study takes Beijing,a university with more social work,as the research field,takes the minimum living guarantee in social assistance as the problem area,takes the experience of social work to participate in social assistance as the research topic,and uses qualitative research methods to work on two social works in Beijing.The experience of eight social workers in service organizations participating in social assistance was explored.The study found that: First of all,social work participation in social assistance is a multi-party cooperation process,which requires both the government to purchase service projects and the need to“dock” information about social assistance services with government departments or by street(township)and community personnel."Accompanied" to the household.Secondly,the social workers participating in social assistance are professional and quasi-professional coexistence.Among them,they have been working in social work for a few years,and they are also engaged in social work professional degrees as interns.Third,social workers participate in social assistance and take into account both economic assistance and social services.They must not only conduct household economic surveys,but also provide professional services for social work.Fourth,social work participation in social assistance faces many difficulties.It is difficult to establish relationships or coordination with the government.It faces multiple challenges when working with clients,and its own ability is insufficient to be competent.Based on the research results,this study applies the social work service institutions and social workers to the mode of social assistance,the social work service institutions and social workers to participate in the social assistance function,and the methods of social service service organizations and social workers to participate in the social assistance dilemma.The topics were further discussed and some suggestions were made.
