Aiming at the comparison and analysis of the main contents of the optics in the six versions of physics textbooks for compulsory education in China,and referring to the American and British textbooks,we try to optimize the design and analyze the teaching effects for these contents.The researches are divided into the following aspects.First,the physics curriculum standards of compulsory education and the optical contents in the six versions of physics textbooks in China are analyzed,and the consistency of the main contents of optics between the physics curriculum standards for compulsory education and textbooks is analyzed.Second,the contents of "reflection and application of light" in the six versions of physics textbooks in China are compared and analyzed.And from the two aspects of logical structure and content selection,the linear propagation of light,the reflection of light,the imaging of plane mirror,and the existing deficiencies are analyzed.At the same time,by referring to the relevant arrangement in the physics textbooks of the United States and Britain,some of the contents are optimized.Third,the contents of "refraction and application of light" in the six versions of physics textbooks in China are analyzed.And from the two aspects of logical structure and content selection,the refraction of light,the imaging of convex lens and the existing deficiencies are analyzed.The questionnaire surveys have been carried out to study the pre-cognition of high school students in learning the refraction contents.By referring to the relevant arrangement contents in the physics textbooks of junior high schools in the United States and Britain,some of the contents are optimized.Fourth,taking the optimized "light refraction" content as an example,the actual teaching activities and teaching evaluations are carried out.Researches show that some junior high school physics textbooks need to be further improved for the optical contents in terms of logical arrangement and content selection.It should be pointed out that some textbooks are not reasonable in terms of the refraction imaging position and the logical sequence of the contents..After the optimization of the refraction contents of light and the practical classroom teaching,the post-testof teaching is taken.The results show that the correct rate of the light refraction learning for the experimental class students is significantly higher than that of the control class.It shows that the comparison and analysis based on the six versions of the domestic textbooks and the optimization design based on the contents of the British and American textbooks are more effective for students to understand the refraction contents of the light.It helps to improve the learning effect for the students.
