Chemistry is a subject based on experiments.The discovery of chemical elements and the analysis of reaction rules are inseparable from chemical experiments.Chemical experiment ability includes basic knowledge of chemistry,experimental operation skills,etc.With the progress of the new curriculum reform,the country's demand for talents pays more attention to the development of ability,and it is particularly important to improve students' ability of chemical experiment.Students' chemistry experiment ability is composed of many kinds of abilities.How to measure students' chemistry experiment ability is the focus of curriculum reform and the hot spot of chemistry education research.It is very important to measure the tendency of chemistry experiment ability of middle school students.According to the connotation and requirements of chemical experimental ability,through literature review and expert interviews,this study constructed the content framework of the measurement scale for the tendency of chemical experimental ability of middle school students.The questionnaire was measured and repeatedly modified for 960 students in four high schools.The project is screened by SPSS25,and through exploratory factor analysis and reliability and validity test,the following results were drawn:(1)The scale constructed theoretically includes seven first-level indicators,namely,chemical experiment preparation,experiment design,experiment operation,experiment observation,experiment data processing and analysis,experiment expression,experiment evaluation and reflection.(2)Exploratory factor analysis shows that there are seven dimensions in the measurement scale of students' chemical experimental ability tendency.(3)The results of reliability analysis showed that the internal consistency coefficient and the sub-reliability coefficient of the measurement scale of chemical experimental ability tendency of middle school students were 0.926 and 0.880 respectively.The internal consistency coefficient and sub-reliability of all dimensions and total tables meet the requirements of metrology.(4)The results of the validity analysis showed that the correlation coefficient between the dimensions of the measurement scale of students' chemical experimental ability tendency was between 0.763 and 0.928,and the correlation coefficient between the dimensions and the scale was between 0.725 and 0.911,all reaching significance at the level of 0.01.Conclusion: the preliminary measurement scale of chemical experimental ability tendency of middle school students has good reliability and validity,and can reflect the level of students' chemicalexperimental ability tendency to some extent.
