Discipline And Resistance:The Elimination Of Contemporary Feminism By Live Streaming

The emergence of live streaming provides technical support for women's emancipation of the mind and the exercise of the right to speak.However,the patriarchal culture and consumerism's control and restraint on women also extend to the cyberspace,which in turn causes the female discourse to alienate and still fail to emerge.The predicament of "collective unconsciousness" has deepened the situation of gender inequality that has existed for a long time.The core idea of feminism is equality between men and women.It is the disapproval and resistance to the traditional gender inequality order.It is the hope of subverting the long-standing patriarchal discourse and regaining its right to speak.However,women in the live streaming have not escaped the stereotypes of traditional society and embarked on a completely different path from feminism.Based on the content analysis method and in-depth interview method,this paper analyzes the relationship and practice between the subjects in the whole production process of live streaming,relying on Foucault's Physical discipline mechanism and gaze theory,trying to explore how contemporary feminism is dissolved in the live webcast.This paper is divided into five parts: The first part mainly analyzes the external female image presented by the female anchor,and analyzes the cover,title and personal label outside the live broadcast,as well as the costume makeup and speech act of the female anchor live.It is found that there are problems such as aesthetic simplification and lack of self-cognition.The second part mainly analyzes the female temperament of female anchors.In the live streaming,the female anchor internalizes the body norms imposed by others into self-awareness,which becomes an important part of the female body's physical training mechanism.It is a reproduction of female stereotypes.The third part mainly analyzes the gaze and peek of the live broadcast user to the network female anchor.The male gaze allows the live broadcast user to establish the subject identity and become the leader of the “panoramic open-sight prison”,monitoring and disciplined the female anchor's words and deeds.The fourth part mainly discusses that in the live broadcast space,patriarchal culture and consumerism are the collusion and behind-the-scenes manipulators of the female anchor,and the live broadcast platform is actually a larger “panoramic open-sighted prison”,the online female anchor.And the live broadcast users are just the "prisoners" among them.The fifth part expounds the status quo of female discourse rights in the live webcast under the control and control of disciplinary power,whether women in the webcast can awaken,and whether there is the possibility and ability to resist.Live streaming provides an opportunity for women to gain the right to speak.Although from the perspective of feminism,the current development of online female anchors is not optimistic,but still cannot give up the full expression of women's independent personality in the live broadcast.How to construct women's right to speak and step into the realm of feminism is a question worthy of long-term thinking.
