Ideological and political education is the lifeline and central link of all the Party's work,the heirloom of our Party,and plays a very important role in different historical stages of the Party.As the main position of Ideological and political education in China,colleges and universities play a very important role in improving the effectiveness of Ideological and political education.The Nineteenth National Congress of the CPC pointed out that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era is a new historical orientation for the development of our country,fundamentally speaking,it is also a new historical orientation for the development of Ideological and political education.This historical orientation puts forward higher and newer requirements for ideological and political education in colleges and universities,which requires that ideological and political education in colleges and universities should not only respect the development law of people as the object of ideological and political education,but also stimulate the initiative and creativity of people as the subject.However,the current ideological and political education in Colleges and universities in terms of educational content,educational methods and teacher-student relationship still exists the problem of inadequate mobilization of students' subjective initiative,so that somestudents have a feeling of boredom and resistance,affecting the effect of education.Rogers' educational thought focuses on the subjectivity of students,the same personality status between teachers and students,the application of real problems closely related to students,and the promotion of meaningful learning.His thoughts to solve the problems existing in the ideological and political education in colleges and universities has the enlightenment significance.Therefore,this paper aims to promote the development of ideological and political education in Chinese colleges and universities by exploring Rogers' humanistic education thought and learning from the reasonable factors of Rogers' educational thought.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the basis and significance of the topic,the research status of this issue at home and abroad,the research ideas,research methods and innovations of this paper.In the second part,the author gives an overview of Rogers' humanistic educational thoughts,mainly discusses the theoretical and practical sources of Rogers' educational thoughts,the main contents of Rogers' educational thoughts,and makes an objective evaluation to grasp Rogers' educational thoughts more accurately.In the third part,the author analyzes why the ideological and political education in colleges and universities in China can learn from Rogers' educational thought and its significance,so as to provide abasis for better learning from Rogers' educational thought.The fourth part is the key part of the article.It discusses the specific ways of using Rogers' educational thought for reference in the ideological and political education of colleges and universities in our country,absorbing its reasonable factors in the aspects of educational content,educational idea,teacher-student relationship,educational method and educational evaluation,and applying its essence to the ideological and political education of colleges and universities in our country.
