The high-ranking position of education in national progress and international competition has long been known to the world.With the improvement of national strength.The government's investment in education has gradually increased,and society,families and individuals have also placed education in an important position.Nevertheless,there are still many problems in the development of education in China,and the results of education are not satisfactory.In this context,many scholars in the educational circles have turned their eyes to the developed countries,trying to learn from the educational experience of the developed countries in order to achieve the national education innovation.But unfortunately,the effect is not very significant.Little do we know that there are a group of wise and lofty educators in the mainland,and there is no need to “put aside the nearest and seek the farther”.Compared with Western learning,their educational thoughts have the characteristics of locality,insight and practicality.It has a stronger reference value for the current planning of China's educational development and the solution of educational problems.So it should be valued by the academic circles.Mr.Zhang Chuting is a famous educator,thinker and philosopher in China,and an outstanding representative of Chinese educators.Since 1959,Mr.Zhang Chuting has been teaching for 60 years.His concern for the nation,deep thinking about education and respect for human beings have prompted him to write and work continuously.The book “On Human Beings” published in 2015 contains rich educational philosophy and condenses Mr.Zhang Chuting's endless efforts.In “On Human Beings”,Mr.Zhang Chuting's educational viewpoints are full of thought-provoking.In the aspect of educational objective,Mr.Zhang Chuting abandoned the utilitarian educational objective,and put forward the educational objective of “education is to let students become students themselves”,and the setting of educational objective is not unchangeable.There is no final goal and ultimate state in education,but continuous progress.In the traditional view of teachers,teachers occupy the dominant position in educational activities,while the view of teachers in “On Human Beings” is contrary to it.Mr.Zhang Chuting proposed that teachers should “infect” students through educational activities,and occupy a supplementary position.The interpretation of the comprehensive education thought is also a key point of the “On Human Beings”.Mr.Zhang Chuting put forward a refreshing viewpoint on the comprehensive development thought.The process of all-round development is free development,the content of all-round development is individual development,the essence of all-round development is harmonious development,and all-round development is basic individualized development.This paper mainly excerpts the above three points for research,which is actually a fragmentary fragment of the vast pedagogical thought of Mr.Zhang Chuting's “On Human Beings”,but because of my lack of talent and learning,it can only be so.In this way,I hope that more people will understand the broad and profound educational thoughts of Mr.Zhang Chuting,and that more scholars in the educational circles will tap the profound educational thoughts of Chinese educators,so as to provide theoretical and practical reference for the development of education in China.
