The Study On The Educational Purpose: A Postmodernism Perspective

As a new academic model, post-modernism has injected fresh blood into the ideological sphere, which makes us re-valuate the world. With no exception, education by which human potentials are developed and improved has gone through the test of postmodernism. Postmodernism exposes the contradictions and predicaments of modernism educational system of value. Educational purpose as the plenipotentiary of educational value has been thoroughly criticized.Postmodernism educational purpose reveals the weakness of metaphysics, the hegemony and violence, decrease of internal value, the crises of dualism in the theory of knowledge, the harm of scientific rationalism, the oppression of the theory of human nature on the human being and the collapse of social ideal in the modernism educational purpose.
