With the gradual diversification and openness of social,cultural and educational resources,the forms and modes of people’s learning activities are becoming more and more diverse.Among them,experiential learning has increasingly become one of the main ways people choose to learn.In order to practice the concept of life-long education,life-long learning and building a learning city,Shanghai Education Commission established eight major citizens’ life-long learning experiential bases in2013,namely,Red Culture Experiential Base,Popular Science Education Experiential Base,Culture and Art Experiential Base,Shanghai Style Culture Experiential Base,Wisdom Life Experiential Base,Ceramic Production Experiential Base,Clothing Culture Experiential Base and creative manual experiential base.In 2018,another new base,Table Tennis Cultural Experiential Base,was successfully established.By2018,more than seven million people had participated in experiential learning.Under the background of the high boom of the lifelong learning and the gradual improvement of experiential base,experiential learning is becoming more and more popular among adult learners.So how do adults feel about participating in experiential learning? What kind of feeling does the harvest in experiential learning bring to them? Is experiential learning an advocatable way of learning? In order to understand the significance of adult learners’ participation in experiential learning,this paper intends to interpret the value of adult experiential learning and analyze the sense of gain of experiential learning of adult in detail.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the research background,research significance,concept definition and research summary.This study mainly comes from four backgrounds: the author’s own background of interest,professional background,the ideological background of the prevalence of three major ideological trends and the realistic background of "sense of gain" which is widelyconcerned.This study has theoretical significance to enrich the research content of adult education and practical significance to enhance the sustainable development of experiential learning.This study defines the concepts of adults,experience,experiential learning and sense of gain,and reviews the literature from two aspects of experiential learning and sense of gain,thus clarifying the relevant research status and the basic direction of this study.The second chapter is the research content and research design,mainly clarify the research content through the grasp of the research objectives and clear research design through the grasp of research methods and research programs.Based on interviews and literature analysis,combined with other research methods,this study hopes to explore the specific representation of the sense of gain of adult experiential learning at the two levels of learning and life,psychological and spiritual,eight perspectives and several dimensions,so as to highlight the value of experiential learning.In order to promote the sustainable development of experiential learning,further promote the development of experiential learning,better meet the needs of adult learning,and contribute to the further promotion of lifelong learning.The third chapter makes a detailed analysis of the sense of gain of adult experiential learning at the level of learning and life.Through the analysis of interview data,the author finds that the sense of gain of adult experiential learning has different specific representations in four perspectives: learning life,professional life,family life and healthy life.The fourth chapter makes a detailed analysis of the sense of gain of adult experiential learning at the psychological and spiritual levels.Through the analysis of interview data,the author finds that the sense of gain of adult experience learning has different specific representations from four perspectives: self-identity,social identity,emotional regulation and spiritual cultivation.The fifth chapter is the summary and reflection of this study,mainly including the research summary of the sense of gain of adult experiential learning and the reflection of the research process.In a word,through interviewing and investigating the adult learners in Shanghai Lifelong Learning Experience Base,this study interprets the specific representations of the sense of gain of adult experiential learning from the perspectives of learning and life,psychology and spirit,eight perspectives and several dimensions.The purpose of this study is to study the value performance of experiential learning in order to better meet adult learning needs,and provide motivation and basis to further promote the development of experiential learning and experiential base.
