Research On The Development Of Shanghai Citizens Lifelong Learning Experiential Base

Today’s era is full of opportunities and challenges. The intense social competition calls for higher requirement to the quality of people. Traditional study mode cannot adapt to the rapid development of era no longer, new study methods come one after another. Among so many kinds of study methods, experiential learning is an effective approach. Nowadays, experiential learning activities are carried out in full swing both domestically and internationally. Under this background, Shanghai municipal education committee launched a practical project for people, i.e. establish eight lifelong learning experience bases for citizens in 2013. Hope it is able to enrich the study content for citizen and build a service platform for their self-study through the integration of high quality public culture and education resource in the society. The experiential base has founded for three years now. During this period, Shanghai lifelong experiential learning base is improving and developing continuously. But, whether the experiential service it provided has recognized by citizens or whether it received high satisfaction from citizens has not been researched yet.From the perspective of adult education, this paper conducts questionnaire and analysis for Shanghai lifelong learning experiential base by combining with public management and satisfaction evaluation theory through literature research, questionnaire, quantitative and qualitative methods.(1) Generally, eight bases get good scores in each index and achieve good experience effect;(2) Citizens are not satisfied with the quality and contents of experience projects in some experience bases;(3) Great discrepancy in social effects and insufficient social interaction for some experience bases;(4) Remote geographic location and irrational open time for some experience bases.Based on the above investigation conclusion, this study puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures, including integrating social resources, attaching importance to the connotation construction of the project experience, enhancing social effects, strengthening communication with citizens, increasing experience sites, establishing online bases and so on.
