"Professional Standards for Middle School Teachers(Trial Implementation)" puts teaching design ability in the first place,which is enough to see the importance of teaching design ability for teachers.However,novice teachers are new to the education industry,and their teaching design ability is relatively weak.As an important part of teachers' specialty,instructional design can directly affect the classroom quality of geography teaching in senior high schools.Therefore,how to improve the ability of instructional design is a problem that every senior high school geography teacher must seriously consider.The purpose of this study is to investigate the shortcomings and shortcomings of the teaching design ability of novice high school geography teachers in Guangxi,and put forward corresponding promotion strategies according to the results of the survey,in order to promote the development of the teaching design ability of novice high school geography teachers.It plays a certain role in promoting the professional development of novice high school geography teachers,improving the teaching efficiency of teachers,and enriching the research results of geography teachers' teaching design.This paper uses the methods of literature,questionnaire,interview and statistical analysis to study.This paper combs the research status of teaching design,teaching design ability and novice geography teachers' teaching design ability at home and abroad,carries out corresponding theoretical analysis,defines the concept of teaching design ability of novice geography teachers in Guangxi senior high schools,and constructs the teaching design ability of novice geography teachers in Guangxi senior high schools on the basis of combing literature and combining the opinions of experts and teachers.The scale includes three primary and ten secondary indicators: analytical ability,design ability and evaluation ability.According to the scale,the teaching design ability of novice high school geography teachers in Guangxi was investigated.And interviews with teachers in order to more fully reflect the novice high school geography teachers' teaching design ability deficiencies.Through the above investigation and analysis,the results show that the background factors of novice geography teachers have certain differences in teachers' teaching design ability,mainly reflected in gender,teaching age,teaching school,there is no difference in educational background and teaching grade,and there is no statistical significance.At the same time,through the general descriptive analysis,it is found that novice geography teachers' teaching design ability is generally at a general level,with an overall score rate of only 73.92%.Among the three first-level indicators,novice geography teachers' analytical ability is relatively low,needs to be strengthened,and their evaluation ability is relatively high,which is also reflected in teachers' interviews.Among the specific secondary indicators,the ability of curriculum standard analysis,teaching situation design,teaching method selection and the grasp of teaching difficulties are relatively weak.Generally speaking,the teaching design ability of novice high school geography teachers in Guangxi needs to be strengthened,aiming at these results.Targeted strategies are put forward,and substantive suggestions are put forward for teachers' training institutions,educational managers and teachers' self-development.
