Since the reform of fundamental education,our education has emphasized that teachers should transfer their attention from knowledge teaching to students development.However currently,the high school chemistry class still only cares about the input of knowledge and teachers still judge students' ability by their examination results rather than the characteristics of students' physical and mental development.As a qualitative evaluation theory,the SOLO taxonomy focuses on the actual situation and characteristics of students,and pays more attention to students' cognitive development and logical thinking.Therefore,this study focuses on the SOLO taxonomy's operational process and practical significance that applying to chemistry teaching in high school.First of all,this study expounds the relevant research of the SOLO taxonomy.After combing and learning from other scholars' application of this theory,the research constructs the learning effect evaluation tool based on SOLO taxonomy.Then,designing test questions and questionnaire.Testing the reliability and validity of evaluation tool,the questionnaire,and the quality of the test questions.Under the guidance of SOLO taxonomy,the research analyzes the current situation of students' logical thinking,determines the teaching objectives,clarifies the learning tasks,and ensures the important and difficult teaching points,designing examples and the questions of classroom.Based on the SOLO taxonomy,“stoichiometry in experiments”,“redox reaction” and “chemical properties of metals”,is carried out in the class A(experimental class).After observing the subject students' before and after experiment results,thinking style,logical level and the change of learning situation,explore the effectiveness of applying SOLO classification theory to high school chemistry teaching.The research shows that applying SOLO taxonomy to high school chemistry teaching plays an active role in improving students' learning situation,arousing students' chemistry enthusiasm,and enhancing chemistry learning confidence and thinking level.At the same time,the application of SOLO taxonomy can help teachers to combine the curriculum standards with teaching design better.It also enhance the coherence of the classroom,and promote the formation of "teaching,learning,and evaluation" integrated class.Finally,this study analyzes the causes of problems in the experimental process and proposes corresponding countermeasures.Meanwhile,the future research on applying SOLO classification theory to chemistry teaching is prospected.It is hoped that chemistry teaching design based on SOLO classification theory can be more valuable and meaningful.
