College graduates are an important part of all kinds of talents needed for the social development of our country. The problem of staying in the city for college graduates in the third and fourth tier cities is not only related to the allocation of human resources in the third and fourth tier cities, but also plays an important role in regional economic development and urban progress. However, there are serious brain drain problems in China's third and fourth tier cities at present. How to help the third and fourth tier cities to retain the college graduates in the region, and then alleviate the phenomenon of brain drain in the third and fourth tier cities has become a realistic problem that needs to be explored and solved.Based on this, this paper takes the graduates from third and fourth tier cities as the research objects, and tries to study the problem in depth. On the one hand,it can provide supplements for the existing research,on the other hand,it is helpful to improve the policy of talent allocation in the third and fourth tier cities, and provide some enlightenment for promoting the economic development of the related areas. The purpose of this paper is to study the willingness of college graduates to stay in the third and fourth tier cities,to explore the key factors that influence the intention of college graduates to stay in the city, and to explore the mechanism of the factors influencing the willingness of college graduates to in the city. The main contents of this study are as follows:(1)this study combs the previous studies and theories on the willingness to stay in the city and college students' willingness for employment, including the theory of population migration, the theory of rational human choice,Maslow's hierarchical demand theory, and so on.(2)On the basis of the previous research results, combined with the results of field interviews of this paper, the theoretical model of the influencing factors of college graduates' willingness to stay in the city of the third and fourth tier cities is constructed.(3)According to the established conceptual model and referring to the relevant mature scales at home and abroad,we develop the variable measurement scale needed in this paper, and complete the questionnaire design and conduct a questionnaire survey on college graduates meeting the requirements.(4)The survey data is analyzed by AMOS23.0and SPSS21.0 data processing software, including reliability analysis, validity analysis, initial model test, adjustment effect test, which lays foundation for this paper's discussion and analysis.(5)Based on the conclusions of empirical research, this paper discusses the guiding strategies to improve the willingness of college graduates to stay in the third and fourth tier cities. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)At the level of personal factors of College graduates, the salary expectations of college graduates in third and fourth tier cities have a significant negative effect on their willingness to stay in the city, while the career expectation and housing price acceptance of college graduates have a significant positive effect on their willingness to stay in the city.(2)At the level of family factors of college graduates, the concept of parents and family economic pressure of college graduates have a significant positive effect on their willingness to stay in the city.(3)At the level of urban factors, the status of urban development and the infrastructure environment have a significant positive effect on University graduates' willingness to stay in the city.(4)In addition, the regional talent policy plays an important role in regulating the personal factors and the willingness to stay in the city, and the regulating effect is mainly reflected in the two variables of career expectation and housing price acceptance of college graduates and their willingness to stay in the city. From the perspective of city characteristics and college graduate attributes, this paper puts forward some reasonable guiding strategies to promote the willingness of college graduates to stay in the third and fourth tier city on the basis of above conclusions. For the government, accelerating the industrial development, improving the ability of urban talent gathering and improving the regional talent policy are the important tasks for the third-and fourth tier cities. For College graduates,we should set up a correct concept of employment, rationally choose employment cities, and avoid blind conformity.
