Case Work Intervention In The Parent-child Conflict In Step-families

With the development of society and civilization,the concept of marriage has enormous changes.The growing number of remarried people and families has become another social phenomenon worthy of our attention after divorce.In contrast to the first marriage,step family is a family model.The relationship of family members is complex,the parents-children relationship is more sensitive and fragile,and the influence of social "Labeling" of the stepfather / mother leads to more contradictions in remarried family.In remarried families,a good parent-child relationship not only affects directly the children’s physical and mental health,but also affects the long-term happiness of remarried families.So intervening parent-child relationships of remarried families and resolving contradict issues will not only help the good development of family members in remarriage and the family happiness,but also help promote the harmonious development of society.Based on the theory of family system and the theory of family communication,this study takes case work as the main working method,and carries out the research on the contradiction between the parents and children of remarried family in the order of data collection,the formulation of the service plan,the intervention activities and the evaluation.This paper finds out that the main reasons that leads to contradiction between parents and children in remarriage families are the vulnerability,the sensitivity of parent-child relationship,the lack of integration and correct guidance of children and negative influence of public opinion etc.Through his five interventions of the client,the author helped them obtain a new understanding of their remarried family,form a good atmosphere of communication,ease family conflicts and achieve family harmony.Finally,the paper put forward specific suggestions for specific case.This paper deals with the problems of parent-child relationship in remarried families by case work.It not only analyzes the conflicts of the parent-child relationship in remarried families from the perspective of social work,but also provides new ideas and practical experiences for the intervention research on parent-child relationship in remarriage families.Furthermore,it expands the space of social work to solve the problem of remarried families.
