With the progress of society and the development of human civilization,women's awareness of life in the gender competition continues to awaken.The traditional thinking of patriarchal deterrence continues to be challenged and broken in the modern society.The status of women has been greatly improved compared to the past.Its legal rights are continuously recognized and respected.However,the gender discrimination culture has not completely disappeared in the social and cultural center,but has found a more subtle way of existence.This unequal gender culture still affects contemporary people's thinking,behavioral habits and even organizational forms,economy,politics,and law.The "glass ceiling" phenomenon in career promotion exists in the form of hidden human resources in the enterprise and will directly affect the investment of female human capital and the female labor participation rate.It is one of the core mechanisms to maintain gender discrimination in the labor market.This study takes the theory of glass ceiling,human capital theory,gender segregation theory,personal preference discrimination theory,social role theory,and other sex discrimination related theories as the basic theoretical basis,taking gender discrimination in job promotion as the research object,taking dozens of Dalian.The employees of foreign-funded enterprises in the city were used as research samples to discuss the gender discrimination in the promotion of employees of foreign-funded enterprises in Dalian,to demonstrate the existence of "glass ceilings",and to explore the forms,perceptions,and influencing factors.First of all,the relevant theories such as “glass ceiling” theory,human capital theory,gender isolation theory and so on are expounded as the theoretical basis of this research.Following this,qualitative and quantitative research methods were used to obtain primary data on gender discrimination in foreign-invested enterprises in Dalian.Spss statistics and analysis software was used to summarize and verify the research hypotheses and problems.The following conclusions were obtained: The position of foreign-funded enterprises in Dalian was promoted.There is a clear problem of gender discrimination.It is reflected in the differences in the proportion of senior management between the two sexes and the differences in salary levels and differences in promotion opportunities.Judging from the perception of gender discrimination,employees of foreign-funded enterprises in Dalian do not feel much about“glass ceilings”.Judging from the influencing factors,the gender human capital differences and the low level of acceptance and acceptance of women's leadership and the complex social and cultural issues behind them are the main factors that cause the promotion of gender discrimination in foreign-invested enterprises in Dalian.Based on this,the author discusses the countermeasures to reduce gender discrimination in the promotion of employees of foreign-funded enterprises in Dalian from the perspectives of “human capital” and “stereotype”: first,increase women's human capital and promote social gender equality;Second,Break stereotypes and increase recognition of women's leadership.
