Previous studies have shown that benevolent sexism in ambivalent sexism can significantly predict the dependency-oriented help provided to female groups. But in intergroup help, whether people dependency-oriented help or autonomy-oriented help is also related to specific situations and intimacy. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of people's ambivalent sexism on dependent orientation assistance, and the role of men and women in situational and intimate relationships.Among them,in Study 1,we first compiled a new willingness to help questionnaire, which included stereotypes that men are good at situations and women are good at situations. Then use the questionnaire method to measure the relationship between the ambivalent sexism held by people and relying on directed help.It was found that men had higher ambivalent sexism than women, and men's benevolent sexism and hostile sexism were significantly higher than women.Only in the situations where men are good, male subjects provide higher dependence orientation assistance than female subjects;the hostile sexism held by people are significantly related to the dependence orientation assistance provided by women in the situation. In order to further verify the results of Study 1,Study 2 uses the method of semantic activation to control the ambivalent sexism held by the subjects, and to explore the causal relationship between the ambivalent sexism and dependence-oriented help. The results show that semantic activation can affect the goodwill gender bias held by the subjects, but it has no effect on the hostile sexism.Because of its goodwill appearance, people will accept and internalize after semantic activation;Prejudice because of its blatant slander of women,it is difficult to be accepted by people through semantic activation. In addition, after the subjects were exposed to contradictory gender prejudice, the difference between the goodwill and gender bias held by the male and female subjects was no longer significant, while the hostile sexism was still very significant;the goodwill gender bias could significantly predict the male to female recipients in the male dependency-oriented assistance provided in a situation that is good at situations;can't predict the dependence-orientation assistance provided by men in situations where women are good at situations.Women's dependence on female recipients is not related to ambivalent sexism, indicating that benevolent sexism can only predict transgender help behaviors.According to the inspiration when compiling the questionnaire, explore whether the influence of ambivalent sexism on intergroup help is affected by intimacy. In Study 3,increase the intimacy relationship,a variable that has a profound impact on ambivalent sexism, and explore when men are interviewed. For women with intimacy needs, how will they deal with male traits and intimacy traits, and how will they be affected by the initiation of ambivalent sexism. The results of the study show that under the influence of intimacy, even if the subjects are activated by hostile sexism, they will also increase their own goodwill gender bias.Men who are good at context-dependent orientation help are affected by intimacy and goodwill gender bias, and women are good at context-dependent orientation help affected by intimacy. The main conclusions of this study are:(1)Men as outgroups have more misunderstandings about women and higher ambivalent sexism against women.(2)Benevolent sexism can be accepted by people through language, and in the intimate relationship, the launch of hostile sexism will also make men have higher benevolent sexism, thereby enhancing their charm.(3)In a situation where men are good at,people's dependence on females is dependent on women's ability,so the higher the goodwill gender bias, the more dependent orientation will be provided. And women are good at situations and think that women are capable,so gender bias cannot affect the dependency-oriented help provided.(4)Dependency-oriented help is provided to women in close relationships, more is the source of intimacy,so regardless of the ability of women in the situation, men are more willing to provide dependent orientation assistance.
