Autism is a type of neural developmental disorder that occurs in early childhood, mainly characterized by repeated stereotyped behaviors, language disorders, and impaired social interaction. At present, early scientific intervention is an effective way to relieve the symptoms of autistic children and improve their life quality.Parent-implemented intervention is an intervention method that parents carry out intervention for their own children after receiving systematic training. In recent year, many researchers pay more attention to caregivers of children with autism, the effectiveness of parents actively participate in autism early intervention has been gradually confirmed. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of parent-implemented intervention in the family of children with autism. Methods: sixty children with autism from two to nine years old and their parents participated in this study.Half of them were randomly selected and assigned into the experimental group, and the other half the control group. In this study, the parent of experimental group were trained firstly once a week for two hours each time and lasts six weeks at least. And then parents use these strategies they learned to train their children at home.Children and their parents in the control group did not receive the intervention. Before and after the experiment,Childhood Autism Rating Scale(CARS)was applied to asses the children in two groups.Bench Center Family Quality of Life Scale(BCFQOLS)were applied to assess parents in two groups.Six weeks later, children in the experimental group were tested again.Results:(1)The results of Repeated Measures analysis of variance showed interaction effect between groups and pre-post tests on total score of Childhood Autism Rating Scale. Then the simple effect analysis showed that the total score of the children in the experimental group was significantlylower than the pretest score, and there was no significant difference in the pre-post test scores of the children in the control group.(2)Six weeks later, the results of t test in children showed that parent-implemented intervention had a good maintenance effect.(3)The results of Repeated Measures analysis of variance showed interaction effect between groups and pre-post tests on three dimensions of family interaction, emotional needs and related support and analysis of simple effects showed in the three dimensions, the post-test scores of the parents in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the pretest, and there was no significant difference between the pre-post test scores of the control group. Conclusion: parent-implemented intervention has a positive impact on promoting the social communication ability of children with autism;Meanwhile,it also accumulates practical experience for improving parents' satisfaction with family interaction, emotional needs and related support and improving the quality of family life.
