SPOC combines short videos of MOOC with traditional class and realize the integration of MOOC and class teaching in colleges and universities.Based on the blended teaching pattern of SPOC,this essay studies characteristics of learners in colleges and universities and tries to construct characteristics' models from the aspects of general background,learning psychology,online behaviors and classroom behaviors.Besides,on this basis,this essay,taking the public course of Elementary Computer Course in College in Inner Mongol Normal University as an example,tries to construct learners group portraits in the teaching model of SPOC and then provides references to teaching and learning in the school.First,as one of the important part of education and teaching in our university,blended teaching of SPOC enables teachers to impart knowledge in class and participate in students discussions and then provide guidance after class.However,once facing a large class,it's difficult for teachers to obtain all students learning characteristics.And although learning characteristics are in indirect contact with concrete courses,they keep in company with learning processes and influence learning effect.Therefore,under the trend of data,this essay tries to construct characteristics model of learners in our university by means of consulting documents and books and observing learners' own characteristics.Second,learners will be divided carefully from the aspects of general characteristics,psychological characteristics,online behaviors' characteristics and classroom behaviors' characteristics and there will be multiple characteristics' elements in every characteristic.Next,this essay will take 288 learners of Elementary Computer Course in College of our university as research subjects and collect specific characteristics data of learners according to learners' characteristics.And different methods will be employed in data collection.For instance,questionnaire is better for collection of general characteristics and psychological characteristics,online characteristics will use data coming from the platform of “the Course of Normal University” and the data collection of classroom behaviors' characteristics will be helped by the teaching tool of “the Rain Course”.Finally,this essay will count and analyse data from questionnaires,online platform and “the Rain Course”,divide learners' group into three types using the clustering method of K-means and construct learners' portraits according to learners characteristics of different types.The learners' portraits are conducive to teachers to know learners background and learning style.Besides,it can provide references for teachers in respect of the choice of learning materials,the creation of teaching goals,the basis of instructional designs,the use of teaching methods and tools during the process of learning.At the end of this essay,interviewees will be selected respectively from three types of learners and they will receive unstructured interview.And this essay will give suggestions on learners of three types on the basis of interview results and statistical data and provide references to instructional designers and online platform designers.
