Linguistic knowledge has always been an important content of Chinese education.Discourse theory is an important part of linguistics.There are many applied studies in the field of second language teaching field,but there is still a lot of research space in the field of mother tongue education.This paper reviews the previous studies on discourse coherence and finds that coherence is an inherent feature of the discourse.Cohesion devices can strengthen or optimize text coherence.the “relevance” of the two communicating parties is the important reason for the discourse coherence.The knowledge of discourse theory has been applied and examined to different degrees in the College Entrance Examination,among which cohesion test is the most typical.Discourse coherence is the key problem of Chinese cohesion in the College Entrance Examination Ability Discourse theory can provide guidance for solving cohesion problems.This paper takes the cohesion questions of college entrance examination as the research object.Collects and collates the cohesive in the National College Entrance Examination from 2000 to 2018 as the corpus.Through the method of examination paper investigation,the author analyzes the situation of the students’ answers to the linking questions.In order to investigate the correspondence between "teaching" and "exam",this paper arranges the content of cohesion problems and discourse theory in senior high school Chinese textbooks,and analyzes their presentation in the textbooks.The author analyzes the textual phenomenon of cohesion in college entrance examination from the perspective of cohesion and relevance,and puts forward some teaching suggestions from the perspective of discourse theory,combining with the situation of students’ questions.This article has a total of seven parts,specific content As follows:Chapter Ⅰ,introduction.The reasons,methods and sources of this study are introduced.The second chapter,related literature review.Firstly,the relationship among coherence,cohesion and relevance in the text is combed.Coherence is the inherent feature of the text,and cohesion and relevance serve the text.Secondly,this paper defines the research scope and analyzes the status quo of the research on the cohesion problem of college entrance examination.At present,there is still a lack of research on inductive analysis of jointing problems.The third chapter,the related investigation of the linking questions,the examination form of the Chinese cohesive questions in the college entrance examination from 2000 to 2018 is flexible,and the number of tests generally shows an upward trend.Through the investigation,the author finds that the correct rate of the students’ answer questions is on the low side,and the linking questions and the knowledge of discourse theory are concentrated in the elective teaching materials,and the distribution is disorderly and the quantity is relatively small.Chapter Ⅳ,cohesive devices.This chapter analyzes the application of five cohesive devices,such as anaphora,logic,vocabulary,subject-rheme and isomorphism,in the cohesion problem of the College Entrance Examination.The fifth chapter,from the angle of "relevance",interprets the linking questions of the college entrance examination.The questions and solutions of the connecting questions are both an explicit-inferential communication process,in which the author provides the explicit information.The intention behind the information is for the examinee to reason according to the express information.The sixth chapter,the teaching enlightenment of linking questions.The articulation problem is the typical question type of examining the knowledge of discourse coherence.Teachers should have discourse awareness in teaching and pay attention to the cultivation of students’ ability of discourse coherence.Discourse theory can provide a variety of ideas and skills for students to solve problems and enhance the ability of discourse coherence.The seventh chapter is the conclusion of the thesis,which summarizes the innovation and deficiency of this paper.
