Mind mapping,as a visual tool to express divergent thinking,has successfully changed the thinking habits of many people.Mind mapping can make full use of the function of left and right brain.According to the rules of people's memory and thinking,it is of great benefit to people's development and promotion in learning,work,life and other aspects.It has set off a very powerful brainstorming in the global education and business circles.Therefore,mind mapping has a powerful function to help people think.This stage of preschool children is the period of the gradual formation of thinking mode.The application of mind mapping as a visual tool in preschool education activities has obvious research value.Causal cognition is the basis of understanding the objective world.Psychologists pay more and more attention to the development of children's causal cognition,and have accumulated some valuable research results in this area.However,most researchers at home and abroad have used mechanical devices to study the development of children's causal reasoning ability.Little attention has been paid to the study of the causal competence involved in preschool children's picture book teaching activities through mind mapping tools,especially in the field of language.In this study,two primary classes of X kindergarten in Xingtai City,Hebei Province,were selected.Thirty children aged 4-5 years were selected from each of the two classes to participate in the experimental study.A total of 60 children were enrolled.One class is an experimental class,reading activities are conducted by mind mapping intervention in picture book teaching,and the other class is a control class,which continues to carry out routine picture book teaching activities.With the help of mind mapping tools,this paper explores the effects of experiments on children's causal reasoning ability,maximizes the scope and scope of the research field of children's cognitive development,and enables children to make inferences,predictions and logical explanations to a certain extent with the help of mind mapping.In this teaching process,the enthusiasm of subject participation is high.Mind mapping is not only a visual tool to guide thinking activities,but also has practical value: in the process of using mind mapping,it helps children to predict the development of story content in a short time,internalize the reading object into their own cognitive structure,help children to generate creative new ideas,help children visualize the story structure,and further understand the story.After learning the usage and drawing methods of mind mapping,children acquire new cognitive tools and learning methods,which can promote the development of their causal reasoning ability and further deduce,predict and explain the content and progress of the story.
