With the development of the times,problem-solving ability has gradually become one of the important standards to consider talents, and it is also the focus and hotspot of educational research all over the world. The primary school stage is not only the best time to cultivate individual abilities, but also the basis for cultivating mathematical problem-solving ability. However, under various teaching modes of the new curriculum reform, the problem-solving ability of primary school students is still relatively lack, the ability levels of students at different levels are quite different, and the polarization is serious. Therefore, how to improve the existing teaching model and improve students' problem-solving ability is a very urgent and important task.Based on this, this paper mainly uses the methods of literature research, questionnaire survey, experimental research and statistical analysis to study the subject. After consulting and analyzing the relevant literature to determine the research problems, the author conducted a questionnaire survey on the fourth grade students of primary school, and constructed the thinking map "3366" teaching mode according to the survey results and the four theories of brain science theory, schema theory, constructivism theory and cooperative learning theory. This teaching mode organically combines the three steps before, during and after class, and designs three different types of thinking maps for new courses, review courses and exercise classes to solve various mathematical problems,In the six links explored in the class, effective variant training is carried out for the six core abilities related to problem-solving ability,so as to help students better improve their mathematical problem-solving ability. In the experimental research to test the effectiveness of this teaching model, the author takes 80 fourth grade students of Xiwan primary school in Bao'an District of Shenzhen as subjects, takes the self-made problem-solving questions as the pre and post test questions, and compares and analyzes the performance data of students in the experimental class and the control class. It is found that:(1)the teaching mode of "mind mapping" can improve the overall level of pupils' problem-solving ability.(2)The teaching mode of "mind mapping" has a significant effect on improving the problem-solving ability of students with learning difficulties and medium-sized students, and has a general effect on improving the problem-solving ability of top students.(3)The teaching mode of "mind mapping" has a very obvious effect on improving pupils' ability to express, analyze and communicate problems in their problem-solving ability,an obvious effect on improving pupils' problem-solving ability, and a general effect on improving pupils' ability to ask and reflect on problems.(4)"Mind mapping" teaching model can improve pupils' interest in learning mathematics to a certain extent.
