| Roller sports is a leisure activity that is both engaging and entertaining,hence why it's garnered a great deal of international fame over the past 259 years since its initial conception.Sources say that,since 2017,roller sports has become an integral part of life for people of all ages,most notably teenagers and college students.In recent years,the number of college roller sports enthusiasts has risen markedly.Time and time again,we're seeing Roller sports clubs and associations being established in quick succession,in addition to the emergence of a variety of roller sports courses and competitions.In response to this,the state has issued a plethora of government policies intended to foster further development.In fact,rollerskating and skateboarding have gained such professional recognition,it's now an official sport in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.As one of the three urban agglomerations with the largest population concentration and the strongest innovation ability,the Pearl River Delta area has a deep cultural,historical and economic foundation to build on.Resultantly,it's unsurprisingly that we'll be seeing most the creative new ideas developing here,providing a great deal of economic progress and a positive cultural climate for the development of roller sports.Obviously,as with any new sport,there are teething problems,but the number of skaters are still in a corresponding increase,in order to know and further promote roller sport,this study put roller sport in the environment of universities,the results showed that the roller sport in universities is not particularly popular,Currently,some fields are lack of professionalism,such as roller sport equipment,sport grounds,teachers,community organization and management,etc,it is necessary to study and discuss about,continuously improve and perfect,which brings roller sport a better future.In this paper,I will be using the widest range of research methods available to me.Including literature review method,questionnaire survey method,The methods of interview,comparative analysis and data statistics were applied to the roller sports of14 universities in the pearl river delta region.The survey was conducted from the perspectives of players,observers,teachers and managers.This paper makes an investigation and analysis,starting from different aspects,such as equipment and venue,university associations,safety education,leisure and fitness,the purpose is to understand and discuss the development environment and status of roller sports in universities,The attitude of this sport from university students,the aspects to be improved and the future of university roller sports and so on.The conclusions of this study are as follows:1.Very few universities have actually built professional roller sport venues.As a result,most of the students mainly participate in roller sport on the school road and square.Some universities don't even have have a regular fixed roller sport field.2.Roller sport courses are rarely available to students,the diversity of roller sport initiatives is low,the technical guidance to learn roller sports lacks professional skill,and there is a lack of professional roller-skaters to provide teaching services.Most students don't wear protective gear during the exercise,likely resulting from the lack of education about the severity of sporting injuries and effectiveness of protective equipment.For this reason,most of students are worried about the safety of roller sports.3.Societies regularly struggle to organize activities.The number of members of within societies needs to be increased.The culture around roller sports is not strong enough,the communication between roller sport communities is sub-optimal,and the publicity of roller sports is far below what is required to gain mainstream appeal.4.The number of roller sports club members in schools is insufficient,and the organization and order management of roller sports needs to be strengthened.The schools' support is not enough which pay a little attention to roller sports,and there is a shortage of funds.5.Most of the students have not had the opportunity to experience roller sports in universities and have a limited knowledge of the subject.However,on the whole,most of the students express support and hope that roller sports can be become more popular in universities and more students can participate in it in the near future.6.Students have the need to participate in roller sports,the schools have the task ofcultivating professional roller sports talents,and the country has the need for comprehensive national strength.The roller sports in universities has a good development prospect in the future. |
