Research On Internal Collaborative Governance Of Social Work Organization In Pearl River Delta Region

With the booming development of social work in the Pearl River Delta,more than 1,200 social work institutions have registered in Guangdong province so far and some of them have operated up to nine years.This study found that most of social work institutions tend to stress on operating service programs rather than internal synergistic governance,which leads different kinds of principle-agent problems and has negative impact on sustainable development of social work institutions.Therefore,how to achieve sustainable development for social work institutions by improving internal synergistic governance,has become a significant topic that administrators should focus on and think about.The aim of this study is to further discuss the current situation and problems o f internal synergistic governance,and to analyze factors influencing internal synergistic governance through integrating research results from sociology and economic management,adopting various research methodologies like document research,participatory observation and case study,and employing seven convictive social work institutions in Guangzhou,Shenzhen and Foshan as the hitting point.Furthermore,based on the experience of internal synergistic governance from social work institutions in Hong Kong,this study will put forward some practical and referential methods to optimize synergistic governance inside intuitions.
