Research On The Expansion Of Campus Basketball Competition System In Primary And Middle Schools

The campus basketball competition is an important part of the school competition activities.In2017 and 2018,the Ministry of Education announced the national teenagers' school list which had the characteristic of campus basketball in two consecutive years,with a total of 3,918.This shows that the Ministry of Education attaches importance to campus basketball.From the current situation,the competition form of campus basketball competition system is single,the rules made can not meet the needs of different skill levels and different contestants.These issues will seriously affect the multi-form development and promotion of campus basketball.This paper expands the research on the organization,rules,time,grounds and facilities of the basketball competition system of campus basketball by using the literature data method,the questionnaire survey method,the mathematical statistics and the logic analysis method.The aim is to enrich the form of campus basketball competition so that more students can participate in it,gain a good sense of participation,increase their interest in basketball,and establish the concept of lifelong physical exercise.The conclusions and recommendations are as follows:1 Conclusions1.1 The survey of the current situation of basketball entrants in primary and secondary schools shows that the students who participated in the campus basketball competition at the age of 7-9 were the least,accounting for only 6.99%,and the students participating in the campus basketball competition at the ages of 10-12 and 13-15 accounted for 42.14% and 50.87% respectively;There are fewer students than boys,76.89% of primary school students and 82.40% of middle school students.Their motivations are derived from their own interests;65 teachers and coaches have chosen the normative characteristics of the competition.1.2 Problems in the System of Basketball Competition in Schools in Primary and Middle Schools:the items of campus basketball competition are single and the form of organization is unreasonable;the rules made cannot meet the needs of participating students of different technical levels;the time schedule is unreasonable;the ground and facilities used for different age groups are insufficient;the current system of campus basketball competition cannot meet the needs of the contestants.1.3 Primary and secondary school basketball competition organization expansion: Students should participate in a campus basketball competition every quarter.We can realize the goal that participating teams can be divided into different groups according to different levels to get better mutual improvement;The competition should increase test items to pay attention to basic skills and gain outside players to jump-start your team;men and women compete with each other to solve theproblem of less women participating teams.1.4 Primary and secondary school basketball competition rules: there is a restriction for outside player;we should cancel or relax some violations because of students' different levels;we should make some special rules for U9 students(initial training phase);According to various age groups,under the conditions of increasing competition items,the innovative competition mode wins the scoring method.1.5 Primary and secondary school campus basketball competition time: According to students' physique of different ages and competition time,expand the length of the timeout,Encourage students to actively run;we expand the “scoring system”.Use the "score system" to ease the pressure of new players.1.6 Primary and secondary school campus basketball competition system venue and equipment: By reducing the size of the venue,the distance of the three-point line,reducing the height of the basket,increasing the basket,lowering the competition threshold,enhancing the confidence of the students,meeting the needs of students of different ages and different skill levels,and promoting more students to participate.Through the development of high-tech equipment,it will promote the recovery of students' physical fitness while preventing injuries.2 Suggestions2.1 Primary and secondary school basketball competition organization:Organize students to participate in a campus basketball competition every quarter;Teams of different levels can be divided into A,B,C,D to increase their sense of participating experience;we can improve each player's basic skill by adding test items according to different age's training tasks.This can make the each teacher(coach)attach the importance to his students' basic skills.The women's team can balance the difference between men's and women's physical fitness through the adjustment of the number of people;the lower level team can introduce an outside player to jump-start the team.2.2 Primary and secondary school basketball competition rules:Through the restrictions of the outside player,we can balance the scores of each player;according to the different ages and levels of the contestants,we can relax some of violations as appropriate;We should consider how to calculate the scores and how to calculate the total scores.We can increase the number of U9 entrants' s shots by restriction of defensive areas2.3 Primary and secondary school campus basketball competition time:You can choose different timeouts according to different ages and levels to solve the problem of lack of energy.You can set different scores at each quarter and rest time according to different ages and levels.We can eliminate each new player the pressure of being left behind on the court by “scoring system”.2.4 Primary and secondary school campus basketball competition venues and equipment: Thecompetition organization department can select different sizes of venues,three-point lines of different distances,baskets of different heights,and baskets of different sizes according to different ages and different skill levels.The competition organization department can bid for basketball equipment and select basketball equipment with moderately good price for the students to use.
